2 Secrets: How They Deceptively Try to Ban E-Cigs

Call me crazy...a conspiracy theorist...or what have you, but I am just going with what makes logical sense here! Please tell me if these reasons make sense, as to why people in the business have it so rough!

1.) E-cig Business Owners Can Barely Advertise

It is widely understood that people are not able to advertise tobacco, nicotine, and alcohol online, but what is the problem with e-cigs? They do not contain any of the above mentioned substances, and cannot harm anyone unless used as a weapon! So, Google AdWords, Yahoo, and BingAds have excluded words such as tobacco, cigarettes...etc. But now they have banned alternative words, such as "vape", "vaping", and "vaporizer"! If a prostitute can't advertise using the word "prostitution", but is able to use the word "escort" to advertise herself/himself...why can't people in the vaping industry use alternative words?

My Reasoning:
There is an underground deal between major tobacco companies, the government, and the major search engines, where the tobacco companies are paying them to restrict us from advertising, so we aren't enabled to steal the bigger market for people who want to quit smoking.

2.) E-cigs Are Being Banned in Public Places

Nowadays, I am starting to see more and more venues ban e-cigarettes from their grounds. As if the disgusting odor and harmful carcinogens are disturbing bystanders...c'mon now...if there are people that are bothered by water vapor, I can assume they dont walk outside after it rains on a sunny, hot day...when the rain is EVAPORATING...Or maybe they wear their shirts over their faces when addding water to the meal they're preparing in a frying/sautee pan. I assume these people are also your top-cop, neighborhood watch, George Zimmerman types that need to get a life, a dog...or a porn mag.

My Reasoning:
I can understand why restaurants may do this for their patrons, but banning them from parks and other open areas is just another way for the government to take our freedom, keep the Tobacco industry alive, and let people embrace their addictions. I cannot find a single reason as to why else they would ban e-cigs from recreational areas!

Again, I am just thinking logically here. I am not the guy who is always right, nor am I self-absorbed in the least bit, so correct me if you think I am wrong...or crazy lol

I am opposed to our freedoms being removed from us, one at a time, however I can understand why the ban of use in public places....kids look up to us. If a kid sees you blowing big foggy clouds in the park, they are going to want to do that to, it looks cool. As for advertising, I wish all RX commercials were taken off of TV and out of magazines. I believe Nicotine should be in that category as well....I know it sounds bad, but I started vaping to stop smoking, they are not the same thing but they deliver the same drug, the nicotine. At the same time, we all know why they are doing the bans and why the Big Tobacco companies are trying to get rid of open source vaping, it is cutting into their profit margins. You want to read up on something that will get your blood pumping, here is the reason behind states discouraging vaping....it makes me sick, but its all about the tax dollar. I am all for Vaping, the Vapor, and all safer alternatives, nothing would make me happier than to see smoking be a thing of the past and vaping the choice in the future...check this link out. Keep it Foggy!

Celtic Fog, I completely agree with you about children observing us my friend, but I have a question for you...given the stupid percentage of kids who smoke underage at some point in their lives, whether due to influence or personal choice, would you agree that a child should be exposed to vaping over smoking cigarettes? In the end, exposing them to nothing at all would be best, but that is highly unlikely. In my opinion, it is very likely that a child, no matter how they are raised, will eventually experiment with Cigarettes. As far as the advertising goes, I guess it may just be that obvious lol. Thank you for your input by the way! I am going to read those links right now.

i believe its up to the parents to instill what behaviors the child will be exposed to. In my state, smoking is banned from parks and beaches, so I believe it is fair to not vape in the same places. Vices are vices and in a world that has so much negative encouragement, I feel it is my responsibility as a parent and an as an adult, to behave accordingly. I happily vape at home, or in my car but refrain from doing so where other peoples children can see me. I'm no uber role model type of guy either, believe me you lol, I have had more than my fair share of faults in my life time, as an example, I am covered in tattoos, even my head is tattooed, but I cover them almost completely when I go into public, not my wishes to inspire kids to tattoo them selves, I guess I feel the same way about vaping. I do agree that if the youngsters knew more about vaping, they would probably steer towards that instead of smoking...but without being asked to represent that towards the youth of others, I will refrain from doing so....respectfully.

When people engage in risky and dangerous behaviour, the government can take one of two approaches- abstinence or harm reduction; prohibition or regulation. Abstinence involves a paternalistic attitude, pointing out risky behaviour and drastically changing incentives to make them stop.
This is what’s happening here. They’re trying to stop the vaping community because they fear big tobacco businesses would fall and their profit share would be cut short. And obviously they have conquered the internet as well, so our websites don’t rank at all. They want the vaping community to be kept low and as if it doesn’t exist.

That's only part of it though. See due to the TMSA, states in America were granted money. That was to have been used to help get people off smoking, away from tobacco, "over time". At the same time Big Tobacco has stipulations in the TMSA, which ensure they continue getting kick backs from sale of tobacco.

Well, the states, a lot of them anyway, gambled the money instead by playing the hedge funds and stock market with the TMSA money. They lost their shirts. Big Tobacco lost 2 Billion one year due to smokers switching to vaping. So, Big Tobacco had to recoup loses. They wanted the money back from the states because well, no one was buying tobacco.

"We need subsidized." Remember this "rally cry" as it also applies to Big Oil. Once the government starts footing the bill then you get fascism. How so? Well corporations can dictate public policy, law to their benefit. Look at Big Pharma as well.

Don't get me wrong. I'm all for subsidizing if it is done appropriately and a grave effort is used to avoid fascism. One thing I see subsidized is school lunches for children. Yes, I think for the benefit of society children going to public schools ought to get free meals if needed. This is "providing for the general welfare" which government in America has agreed to do.

But more often than naught, you find once subsidizing comes into play so too fascism. So in this situation you got Big Tobacco being subsidized. They aren't "out anything" by letting people vape, don't let them fool you. Even if they lose 12 Billion a year they're still in the black.
