I actually took my time and bought 4 of them...all different. A single o-ring each, from a $1.60 pack of 50 solved all of my leak problems. The rest is butter. I was not calling anyone ignorant. The saying was not meant as an insult. It's another way of saying that "What you don't know won't hurt you.", or "He doesn't know what he's missing.", or "Once you go black, you'll never go back!". Sheesh

I have Big Buddha, Billow, EHPro Dual air, EHPro enlarged air, and all kinds of other Kayfun descendents. None of which prevented me from enjoying a KF4.

Why do people want to argue with you all day telling you why you are not enjoying something, or that you are somehow lesser for it? At least I tried to encourage people to keep on enjoying their KFLs.
I like my kayfuns, i use them all the time, so it made sense to me to try the new v4, which i did enjoy, i am getting new orings for it and i'm sure it will be fine after that. Everyone has their own preferences on tanks. Stick with what you like and works for you, buying a clone and having to replace some orings for me is not a big deal at all when it saves me 120 dollars.

As a future clone owner...are all of the clones having the same o ring issues?
.Should they all be drilled out for better air flow?
If i decide on the earlier lite plus model isnt there a kit to make it top fill?

I just want to make sure i get everything i should need to resolve any common complaints in one purchase..So does some one have a list they can shoot out?

my tobeco isnt having problems. id order from someone throwing in the 4s kit for free like vapertekusa bc you will for sure need the insulator, the one that comes with it is no good

I was sort of leaning for one of the fastech versions..the most popular sold one is only 17 bucks bit seems they have the same common issues as most ive read about ..otherwise get great reviews when the issues are fixed.

Im needing information of what o rings to get (size)...what is a common size the breather holes are drilled out to...Should i replace any connection screws for the coil....Now you mention insulators,so where to find those as well.

Just a basic rundown on what i may need to replace to make it a reliable tank

If you read through the first 20 pages of this thread, there are some sites you can get replacement orings for it , as far as air hole, the 4s kit would make it have alot more air flow. There are alot of usa vendors selling the clones also and you wouldn't have to wait for it to come from china.

I ordered one of those 4s kits (solo) from them over a week ago, just to latter get a message back that Tobeco had messed up their order and there was no hard ETA on when they'd actually have more in stock.

Fwiw i've also seen some early reviews on them stating they actually do not provide more increased airflow then simply removing the airflow screw will (i did and hasn't been an issue), and in that regard it's a waste of money.

I prefer ALOT of airflow so I drilled my Kayfun V4 out to 7/64 (I think). It is supposed to be the same as the 4S kit. While it is still tight for me, It is a good wrk rig that has been really nice.

FT has the complete o-ring sets and 4S.

So I just got my updated EHPro base in today. It does come apart. So all is soaking now. My seller also included two extra springs. They appear to be a little beefier than the stock spring. Even included a pre-paid padded mailer to send them back my old base. This seller has gone way out of their way to make this right even though none of this was of their doing. Hopefully this will be the thing that gets this bad boy working as it should.

Thanks to all the info I found in the forums, I have resurrected my Kayfun 4 from the "I give up" box. I've got the leaking problem completely licked. It vapes great at 1.6 ohm. I've got an odd problem. The juice control ring will not budge if I have the 510 screw tight. If I loosen the screw at all the resistance jumps all over the place. In fact it will jump so high it will fry my coil. I took the airflow scrw out completely, but I had this problem prior to doing that. I guess its no big deal, but you're supposed to cut the juice flow off when refilling. It's still 100% usable, but if something is not right, I'd like to fix it. During the day today, it started jumping around. So I took it off and got the 510 screw really tight and the problem stopped. I dont know who's clone it is because it was represented as authentic, but I only paid $40 for it so it cant be. everything in and on the package is an exact match to the real thing, so I have no idea who made it. Any ideas as to what could be causing my problem?

My favorite the infinite brand KF4. I have a stable of everything from new fangles Kanger sub to leno's, drippers, etc. etc I keep going back the the kayfuns lite and v4. I enjoy building and kayfuns are simple. Granted a lot of parts in the V4 but I am a machinist and like the "fancy nuts and bolts" I keep getting and trying new attys which are OK but I keep going back to the kayfuns. There is a little learning curve. PS don't forget the Lite my second for the pocket vape.

Well...I modded all of mine for TC because of these problems, even the authentic. Get a 4S, lose the air screw. Then lose the spring. File a 3mm SS flat washer (you can get them on fleabay or fat daddy vapes) on four sides to match the bottom nut, put the washer under the nut. Take the build deck base and rub the bottom on 220 grit sand paper until the square bottom flanges and air stem are matched flat. Better stability no resistance jumps. It is either on or off no in between, I don't see that as a con because the juice control is really on or off anyways.

I have the Tobeco Kayfun V4 clone and I'm underwhelmed. IMO it doesn't do a better job than my KFL Plus V2's which are a hell of a lot more simple and easier to build on.
The only advantage I see is if you need to access the build deck with juice still in the tank, can't do that with the KFL Plus.
