Listen, I hate it when the dickwad mods over at ECF go nuts with the Ban hammer or just wanna Flex all over everybody but I still think there's a bunch of good folks over there who have a lot to offer the vaping community. I hate it that there is so much animosity between the two forums...It's bad for us as vapers. Divided we fall and all that right? So Why not be openly active on both?

Alot of people are. I am not one of then though as I never really liked being in a "kiddie pool" so to speak so I never got past that.

Many are active on both forums and many others, I see that a lot here, Some complain about other forums and we even have a special section on ECF banned members, that members here rather enjoy reading and posting in, me included:):)

How am I suppose to be active on ECF when they gave me the big ban? Am I suppose to create a fake account now and pretend that I'm not who I am? What would be the point of that? Besides, ECF is a stressed out place. I still can remember when I would get a private message over there how it gave me a jolt because it was usually a freakin infraction for some stupid shit. Over here when I get a pm I just get a smile and wonder who's texting me.

I bounced back and forth for a while, no problem with people who still do...it's just that as VU grew to the point that it developed its own solid base of tech threads on batteries, coils, hardware, DIY, whatever, I found I could get a hold of whatever info I needed in either place. And I just like the fuckin' vibe better over here.

I joined up here on the same day I got banned from ECF. That was also the first day I heard the word Aspire. Was hanging out at ECF all that time and never even heard of Aspire. I guess Aspire wasn't one of their "registered venders".

When I left (just a few months ago, really), there were quite a few honks still pushing carto tanks and Provaris as the latest and greatest in technological marvels. Not that there's anything wrong if that floats your boat, but it seems like "tried and true" was preferred by many to the "cutting-edge-buy-this-new-thing-NOW!" attitude those of us who'd already been prone to checking in on VJ multiple times a week seem to have...

Yeah I'm bouncing back and forth now. IMO it's just a few over zealous mods over there who are bringing things down. It's still a bit cliquish but better since they started their Fan Forums. But in my experience everyplace gets cliquish as it grows...It's more a characteristic of people rather than forums...Anyways, thanks for the feedback and personal experiences. It's fun to compare sometimes:)

When I was over there mech mods and RDAs seemed so scary, thought I would blow my face off if I ever tried it. Now I have two mech mods and rebuild my own coils like it's nuffin.

I remember the staff and admin on ECF wanted you to call your MOD a PV? or something or other, and was going to make it a requirement when ever you talked about it, That hit me as so funny and outrageous.

The more time I spend here the more I can't stand that place. Censorship and shit advice.

It's the censorshit that gets me. Also there seems to be a bit of favoritism as to who gets in trouble and for what, but that might happen anywhere... hopefully the censorship wont.

Why not be openly active on both?

Because in my 15 years of internet usage which has involved owning forums, chatting on forums, helping to moderate forums, running game servers, and playing internet games I have had more then enough dealings with people who only want a position for the sake of having it, have their head so far up their asses they can't even recognize spam or trolling, think everything revolves around themselves, or believe that anybody doesn't agree with them is stupid and/or needs to be insulted.

From what I have read, most of those things seem to apply to the staff at ECF
Makes me so glad that I chose to join this forum instead of that one when I started looking for one.

Any forum has those that think it revolves only around them ,and then you have others whose opinion is more important than any other opinion . I don't do well with drama , or egos . If you can get past those points , yes 2BZ4 .

I work in a B&M. I read both every day. Over there I skim the threads to see if there is anything new or interesting that I might learn.
Here I read the whole forum its a much more fun read. VU just fits me better.

Only been here & have been superbly blessed with awesome advice and people who are very giving. I've learned a lot in the time I've been here, and realizing alot of people vape like I do (low wattage non rebuildable), and even the 100 watt drippers, whatever. We all vape different, but I haven't seen anyone say you're vaping wrong or its a pv, not a mod. I even call it a battery still sometimes, at least to non vapers. And I think there's some dirty old uncle running around as a mod, that's always a good thing, right?
