Help me replace my broken Cloupor Mini

Ok - so my hope that Clouper redeemed itself was quickly laid to rest - my mini shit the bed on me over the weekend - the entire 510 connector pulled out like it was held together by some elmers glue (in a fight with Clouper right now since they only want to refund me 28$ - I paid 38$ so they won't even fork over a measly 10$ - more to come on this - I will post pictures of the insides and the terrible connector that was barely glued on tomorrow since I gave them the rest of today to make good - which I know they won't so I will put them on blast for their terrible customer service)

But I digress - so what to replace this with?

I'm either looking at getting the IPV2S 70watt at VaporDNA (Suitcase) because they now have them in stock again at 90$ which is a good price.. my only gripe is no magnet cover..

or I'm thinking maybe Sigelei 50watt v2.. but not sure how reliable these have been recently.. I know the 100w is a great device but I don't need that much power and its a little too bulky for me..

The Smok products are nice, but non-replaceable battery is a deal breaker for me otherwise I probably would have looked at the M65 or whatever it is..

Trying to keep the mod as small as possible so I'm assuming single battery, magnetic back cover if possible..

I want to keep it under 100$ and I want to ship as quick as possible (so no china deals and no pre-orders since I want to pull the trigger today and get this replaced ASAP - I now have to use an old mech and I'm not happy lol)

Open to suggestions! (was about to buy the IPV2S but figured I would get a little more feedback before I jump the gun)

Sigelei Mini 30 has been reliable for me. In my particular case, the ohms and volts readings are accurate, but the watts are off (not a big deal since I typically vape in the 3.8v - 4.1v range, so it's easy for me to keep track). However, another member here who has one shows all readings to be accurate, so my device may be just a "hiccup" in the batch that was sent to the US.

out of those options id probably go with the iPV2S but i would say consider getting an rdna40 or an sx mini. you pay for it but theyll last you for a very long time and the chips are solid especially since vaporshark updated the dna40. i dont mind paying up for a top shelf daily driver thatll last as long as i want it to, but just my thoughts. i feel like most boxes under $100 are only built to last a few months

Totally agree - you get what you pay for - but I just don't have the cash right now.. I could wait a few weeks until taxes come back but I honestly can't use this mech for too much longer lol.. I will probably pick up another box at that time..

Thanks Moe - i saw your other thread where you posted about that.. You got a pre-order right? maybe it was a glitch in the first rounds that were sent out or something? Not too big of a gripe and for the price you can't go wrong..

It's a toss up.. I just don't want to deal with another clouper fiasco .. fuckers... I knew I would be the lucky person to have a problem with it.. I tried to defend it hoping that would give me the karma to keep the mod from breaking- but its just inevitable with Clouper

I'm not a fan of the SX mini's look - I know it's a good device but its just not worth the price point imo.. I was also looking at the Zero clone but that could also be a shot in the dark.. I'd rather go with a good brand like P4U or Sigelei

One member's iPV mini (@Just Me ) won't turn on now. Another's - @ghost62 - is overheating his coils. I've read elsewhere about plastic buttons/coverings coming off (don't remember the source, sorry).

i didnt think it was worth it either until i looked over pbusardos review. i always liked that the chip maker was also the mod maker. they are releasing one called m class with upgrades, thats the one im waiting on. i do like the zna look as well since i dont already have a mod that looks like that, but it is subjective i suppose

thats exactly why i prefer the top shelf devices where i can justify the price
To be fair, my Cloupor Hana DNA30 clone lasted 6 months. I personally fried the chip by inserting the battery incorrectly ... otherwise, I would still have it today. I still have my Cloupor T6 ... and when comparing the vape quality between that and the Sigelei Mini 30 at the same voltage, the T6 has NOT been underpowered as certain people claim and think.

I always thought those devices looked cheap.. At least the ipv2 seems solid and I know plenty of people who have not had any problems with them since the new version came out.. I think this might be my safest bet for right now.. and then pick up a sig-mini in a couple weeks..

can't even screw anything down now.. nothing was on too tight or anything either - just went to screw on my subtank and noticed it just kept going around and around.. tried to unscrew it and the connector almost pulled right out..

Clouper tried to get me to purchase a new one through Gearbest or whatever that new shady China site is.. nope!

now they won't reply back to me after my last email - they are a joke for real...

If my Cloupor mini takes a dump I'm running back to Sigelei as fast as I can go....
It's hard to find the Sig mini but these guys show it in stock.
https://www.elementvape.com/sigelei-mini-30w-watt-box-mod?enter=true

Steam - i'll post pics of the insides tomorrow .. not sure which batch you got - but I hope to god I got the first run.. because if they are still pushing these out with those glue jobs - I'm assuming a lot more people will start to see connector issues like mine.. if they glued the connector down - they didn't use much..

My hubby has the zero and no complaints.. He usually ONLY buys top shelf so this says a lot.

good to know! I'm always down to buy clones as back ups.. but not as my main go-to mod.. I think the zero's are really cool looking so maybe I'll look back into these in a couple months.. assuming by then the price will come down a bit more

I have an ipv2 and have used it exclusively everyday since July with zero issues. That being said the screws are a huge pain in the ass. I have been hoping for an excuse to replace it with a Sigelei 100 Plus but it is still working perfect. If you can wait the ipv4 should be available soon.

I have the istick mini but I'm just not a fan of the design or button rattle of the isticks in general (i know I'm picky, but my OCD flairs up on those little issues) want something a little better if that makes sense..

I can't wait sadly.. I do like the look of the IPV4 but I don't trust anything P4U drops right out of the gate..

I know you can replace the screws with magnets - a couple YT videos show you how.. I guess the Suitcase has upgraded screws but at least the passthrough is an option.. I don't think I'll mess with unscrewing it too much if I can help it..

And I just pulled the trigger on the Suitcase from VaporDNA

if anyone wants this code - it's all yours :) - thanks for all your suggestions - in a couple weeks I'll end up getting something else, or maybe a couple new ones knowing my spending habits lol

10$ off 35$ purchase - code: PBV5K8X

Would you mind linking the one your husband got. I have been thinking about one of the sx350 Zeros but they have had mixed reviews.

Same here, although it works good (except for the rattling during use) the IStick just feels cheap. My wife loves it but on hers the charge connector broke off the board and she's using a second and the 510 threads are all but stripped out. I will be getting her a Sigelei Mini 30 when it fails.

Yea.. the threading is weak on them too.. I mean I get it - they are great little device for the price.. just sick of dealing with the same thread/connector/charging port issues on a lot of these mods being made..

Hopefully the IPV2S will last me longer than the clouper did - not even 2 weeks LOL I should hope so..

I understand the not being able to wait, when my wife snagged the Istick I was using as a backup ironically I picked up a Cloupor Mini just in case of an ipv2 failure. No issues yet but I don't use it much. Finger crossed.

Just because something costs more @M5amhan , doesn't guarantee it will last a long time, my sx mini only lasted a few weeks, juice got inside it and fucked up the board, now it just sits on side useless.

I replaced the sx mini with the IPV mini, only had it just over a week, and so far has been a very good working mod, time will tell if it lasts or not.

Not defending Cloupor here, but I'd be more willing to blame that huge Subtank and beauty ring...that sucker is especially heavy with the ring on it, and puts a lot of side-to-side stress on the 510 as you tilt to vape and gravity does its thing. Not to mention the long threading on the beauty ring combined with the large diameter of the tank means you end up putting a lot more torque on the 510 connector than you would with the typical a 22mm atty.

Just sayin'.

My ipv mini, was a piece of junk. The plastic covers and buttons just fell off. I've been very happy with my istick 30 watt I've been using in its place.

So your saying a mod can't handle a tank with a beauty ring? Wow lol... The entire connector came apart from the shitty glue job that was barely holding it together - i wasn't pulling on the tank or screwing it on tightly.. i take care of my mods - this is not a well made device - period. i'm not the first person to open it up and see the terrible build quality inside. they even admitted they rushed them without QC.. And FYI I barely used my subtank on it because it looked ridiculous on such a small mod.. I was using my kayfun v4 90% of the time - just saying

Yea i got the v2 70.. I thought the same thing lol but the 50w is all sold out so I think they just didn't update the page..

the only project sub-ohm mods they have in stock are the 70w suitcases .. It shipped last night too so I couldn't be more impressed with vapordna's turn around time - their email said up to 72 hours processing time too .. guess they had a slow day

Congrats! - I won't complain about anythings thats free - Trust me I had high hopes for that little device.. I forgot to take a better pic of the insides last night since the one I had was really dark.. I actually realized that the plastic piece that covers the wires was being popped out by the glue coming out - there are just random globs with no purpose.. the plastic piece was protruding because of the bad glue job.. I mean a 3 yr old could have done a better job..

If you have the ability it will only help.. I'm curious to see which version you get of it, and if the supposed v2's are built any better.. I just don't trust anything Clouper says to be honest..

and they refuse to refund me the measly 10$ to make good on a full refund .. They gave me 27$ and some change - talk about really standing by their customers!

Yea I was trying to give them another chance - I never got the T6/T8 because of the issues people were having but I know people who still have some of their old 30w devices that stood up pretty well so I was hoping they would redeem themselves..

The fact that they won't refund me 10$ to keep me happy means they don't really give a shit.. if you sell faulty products (ones that literally burn up from the insides) then you need to fully refund people when they have issues - no matter what they are.. I will never buy a product from them again with how they dealt with me..

They told me to buy a device from GearBest because they are selling them for 28$ - which I also think is VERY shady because this site has tons of reports for selling used and broken devices to people.. so Cloupor is okay with referring us to other shady businesses - says a lot right there

yeah, that definatly sounds like some shady practice, sepecially cause everywhere else in the states its going for AT LEAST 39.99, the only cheap alternatives i have seen are fasttech and cigabuy which are in china. so that 28 definatly sounds like a scam for broken equipment

Yup exactly.. goes to shows you that they really don't care about the community or providing safe and well made products.. Makes me think they are somehow tied in with Gearbest if they are forwarding me over to them - they are all about the cash grab in the end.. They will continue to lose support and sales for handling situations like this.. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt for their past mistakes but I got burned none the less.. and they could care less about making good on their warranty. Fuck them - I'll spend my money elsewhere
