fruit + creams

I'm about to pull the trigger on a basic DIY starter order I pieced together at bullcity. I don't want to get carried away at first with flavors before I know if I enjoy it or not. I really like high vg fruit+cream e juices. I'm hoping someone could recommend specific Lime, (ripe) strawberry, peach, and cream flavorings that I can start with.

Also when I buy ejuice from somewhere and the flavor is strawberries and cream, is that actual cream flavoring or vanilla or custard?

I like FA for Limes. They have 2, I have both. I have INW Peach that I like, but many also like both the FA, white and regular. I only have the white on that one. Creams... FA. Love them. Fresh, Vienna, I'll add Vanilla Classic, though it's not labeled as a cream, it's creamy to me. I love that one and won't be without it. Catalan Cream is extremely popular, too.

If you're looking for a creamy custard, most will suggest Capellas Vanilla Custard. They have 2 versions. I can only use it for a short time, they make me cough a lot. ??

I think the flavor I'm thinking of is more of a cream than a custard, it doesn't have that heavy egg vanilla taste. If I want to make strawberries and cream do I need anything other than strawberries and cream?

You might like FA Vienna Cream mixed with FA Vanilla Classic. FA Fresh Cream is definitely a good one to have around. Then you could add whatever Strawberry you think you might prefer. FA, Capellas Sweet Strawberry, TFA Strawberry Ripe, and I just heard that Germans Flavors Strawberry is good, but Bull City doesn't have that one. HeadInClouds has a recipe site that has "Quikberry Pink" listed. It's a good one. https://gumroad.com/hic

lol all 3 fruits+cream? I might have to try that. I wanted to place a small order to start with just to get my toes wet and I figure I could make me some high vg fruit+cream juice and make my wife some high pg fruit no cream juice

Just placed order. Thnx for the help.

Lol, that was all you, man. I think you'll like those. Heck, yeah, all 3 fruits. A tiny spot of that Lime Cold Pressed will give it a little tart kick that will mellow out the next day or so. It's always a nice contrast with sweet vapes. You could mix it as a single flavor and add it when the mood strikes.

Oh, man, it just struck me. Mama J's juice has a strawberry custard flavoring you might like. It does have that custard flavor, but it's good. He's having 25% off his specialty flavorings for Friday the 13th, and that is one of them. $20 gets you free shipping, too. Excellent vendor. Speedy.

I think going with the fresh cream is a perfect start. I just started diy-ing about 6 months ago. I'm still hung up on Mr. Vapes cherry tobacco.... Can't crack that recipe for the life of me, lol. But I made a juice for my bf that he loves: Early Grey Tea. I don't care for it, but he likes it.

I am really liking fa Fresh Cream, too, although I'm finding it's easy to overdo it with even half a percentage point too much. I seem to be pretty sensitive to that "chalky" thing that I get sometimes with fa Creams.

vape.queen, I have to say your avatar is great. For some reason it reminds me of a 17th Century Dutch painting--not one in particular, but in general. And it totally captures that "queen" feeling.

Awww thanks! Yeah its good to taste test all flavors(none are the same) before mixing your final combo. Its also smart to make a little 3-6ml bottle of zero nicotine VG/PG and flavoring solution for the especially strong flavorings...like that cold pressed lime...I can imagine that one in particular will be crazy strong.

At shake n vape, it's like biting into a lime. After a day or so, it's the perfect amount of tart. I use it quite a bit, usually at 0.5%, occasionally at 1%. It definitely mellows out. Highly useful.

I have only tried Bavarian Cream/Creme in store bought juice, but I was surprised to read somewhere it has notes of chocolate in it. I really didn't taste that and it might be important to know for DIY.

I imagine it would have a lot to do with the other flavors in the mix, but I can't say as I've noticed that either. Perhaps the brand of flavoring would be a factor also. It enhances the flavor/texture of my chocolates and certainly smooths them, but it's in chocolate in my mix, so I probably wouldn't notice. That's a question best for HIC, I suppose.

I dont think 'fresh cream' will completely satisfy your cream fix. It is a very light, dry, dairy type flavoring that needs support.
I would support it with FA vienna cream and FA custard.
FA custard is not capellas custard, its much different.
For a strawberry cream recipe id use 1% fresh cream, 1%vienna cream, 1% custard, and then your desired percentage of strawberry.

This is the best creamy fruit flavor I've ever had aside from suicide bunny sucker punch. This recipe has nearly the same cream base flavor, would no doubt be awesome with other fruits.

CAP Sweet Strawberry 7%
TFA Bavarian Cream 1%
CAP Vanilla Custard 2%
TFA Vanilla Swirl 1%
FA Catalan Cream 1%
TFA Vienna Cream 1%

How well would FA Meringue play in a Strawberry Cream type mix? I intend on having equal parts Fresh Cream, Vienna Cream and Meringue for the cream aspect of the mix.

That sounds delicious! I would go for it! Is the meringue just itself or is there citrus in it?

There's no citrus in the mix, but apparently Meringue has a tangy aspect to it. I just received it yesterday so I haven't had a chance to play around with it yet. I think the "tang", however slight, would maybe help the strawberry flavour pop.

Meringue is real sweet fluff, to me. Some people get an eggy taste with it. I generally use it at 0.5% and it's plenty. Ymmv

Yes, it's tangy, and it looooves fruit flavors. The tang in real meringue comes from cream of tartar. I think FA did a great job making that flavor. I've never seen another like it.

I've never had a merengue flavoring before. I have made many a merengue pie from scratch so all that's got in it is sugar and egg whites so I can imagine the flavoring being super sweet but slightly eggy

I'm one of those weirdos that doesn't get the eggy-ness from it. I can think of 2 people that do, though. @glassgrl and @Thunderball have both said so.

I think meringue tastes exactly like real meringue - eggwhites and all - it's one of my favorite flavors!
