flavour in high vg liquid

hi im very new to diy but i have a question on getting decent flavour in high vg liquid, basically i buy a brand of liquid from my local vape shop called dr vaper, cant find a thing on it online but the guy told me it was a 10/90 mix, im guessing the 10 pg comes from the flavour concentrate, im trying to recreate my favourite flavour from them (stawberries and cream) which judging by smell its capella's strawberries and cream, iv made a 10ml test and allowed it steep but the flavour is weak, anyone got any idea where im going wrong, im using a vg based nicotine also, cheers

Most local vape shops sell 90PG-10VG or 80/20 as a standard, unless you request a custom mix.
Flavoring percents are never included in the percents listed.
The reason is most of the stock heads/tanks they sell won't wick the thicker (High VG) stuff.

Try mixing higher PG and less VG, but usually harder to do when your NIC is VG based.
Even 50/50 will reveal more flavor usually.
Heating may help it mix a bit better.

cheers for the reply, well i have a pg allergy so i know there cant be much pg in these if any and this stuff is thick, thickest liquid iv come across, the only ingredients it states on the bottle is vegetable glycerine, flavouring and nicotine, thats why im so confused on the intense flavour of these liquids.

You can add up to 10% Distilled Water in your own mixes to help cut the thickness and enhance flavors a bit.
Just keep experimenting, lots of peeps here using VG only.

well iv tried to stick to the same mix ratio as im trying to recreate, so 90% vg with 10%pg from the flavourings, so 10% capella flavouring. like i say im a total newb so i may be completely wrong in how iv mixed them

Are you using only strawberry, and is it Sweet Strawberry flavoring?

I thought 3% was too strong, lol.
Adding .5% - 1% of Raspberry may help.
Or a drop of lemon, from the squeeze bottle in the fridge, lol.
Add another 2% Strawberry, just a guess...

no iv tried it with capella's strawberries and cream as it smells exactly like it, iv also done a mix of sweet strawberry with tfa french vanilla cream, neither are great

really? i though 10% seemed weak, maybe i should let it steep longer? cheers for the help

You could try warming the bottle by dropping it in a cup of hot tap water for just a bit. Makes it easier to shake and mix with high VG. I know a friend of mine likes those flavors at 6% and less. Don't know if that helps you or not, but I hope it does work out for you soon!
