I did that too back in the 90s to about a few years ago. Now I just do what I need or want and I can close the browser and go watch a movie. ;)

Not active on social media, no twitter/instagram, no cellphone, etc.
I have everything automated its kinda a hard sword to swallow Half life = No Internet (Library) Half life - INTERNET and the freedom to do as I please
I also do almost no social media accept linkedin for Career stuff... If I have to choose I would choose the former i still have a phone can call someone get in my car or write a letter...

Nomz time. ;)

Scrambled Eggs on Chipotle Sourdough with Crema Salvadoreña and Cheese

This is not your regular sour cream. It's darker, thicker and richer with a touch of sweetness to the tart..
Used here for flavor, moisture and to help the eggs stick to the bread. The bread wasn't toasted, as it's fairly solid and dry and I can't chew tough stuff anyway. ;-)

Cooked up some chopped smoked deli turkey, onions, Jalapeno pepper, minced garlic and cilantro in 50/50 veg oil and butter.

Spiced up with my Habanero seasoning salt and a pinch of black pepper.
Dash of half & half and some El Yucateco Black Label Reserve added to the eggs for a nice texture and smokey flavor.

Piled on the awaiting bread and topped off with grated sharp cheddar, black olives and the remaining Cilantro.

Mmmmm. :)

Oh man......Now I am hungry!!!!!!!!!

I think it's because I was on the 'Net before there even was a WWW or social media. Nobody had webcams or picture phones except the uber-geeks. We used FTP and NNTP a lot.

I remember when the first blog scripts came out...brain something? Formed out of the early news posting Perl scripts. I just had my Tripod, and Angelfire pages, later I got my own hosting though sites like port5, United, PPN, then later into Virtual Servers.

Google didn't exist yet, neither did Myspace, FB or any of the rest. The Internet was a tool and still kind of a giant BBS. ;-)

IIRC, it was 1996, I asked some local companies if I could put them on the Web. Every one said, "what is that and why do I need it?"

Yeah, my first e-mail was sent via a BBS doorway with a 'compromised' Compuserve account.
Then, later I found the local Uni had a VAX with open telnet....Lynx was great. ;)

I probably still have a gopherspace account somewhere. I don't really do that stuff anymore though.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gopher_(protocol)

In November 2014 Veronica indexed 144 gopher servers, reflecting a small drop from 2012, but within these servers Veronica indexed approx. 3 million unique selectors.

Remember this?

HOTMAIL_zpsce0971c4.gif

I got my account soon after launch in 1996. Still have it.

Launch of Hotmail
Hotmail service was founded by Sabeer Bhatia and Jack Smith, and was one of the first webmail services on the Internet along with Four11's RocketMail (later Yahoo! Mail). It was commercially launched on July 4, 1996, symbolizing "freedom" from ISP-based email[13] and the ability to access a user's inbox from anywhere in the world. The name "Hotmail" was chosen out of many possibilities ending in "-mail" as it included the letters HTML, the markup language used to create web pages (to emphasize this, the original type casing was "HoTMaiL"). The limit for free storage was 2 MB.[6] Hotmail was initially backed by venture capital firm Draper Fisher Jurvetson. By December 1997, it reported more than 8.5 million subscribers.[14] Hotmail initially ran under Solaris for mail services and Apache on FreeBSD for web services, before being partly converted to Microsoft products,[15][16] using Windows Services for UNIX in the migration path.[17]

I used to like to draw, paint, pastels etc. when I was a kid, even won a K-Mart Contest and a contest in Jr.High. Then, High School happened and I quit.

Later, I discovered you could do it on a computer. Still can't draw freehand to save my butt, but I don't really have to anymore..lol
I got a copy of PS 3.0 from a neighbor in the 90s...I was hooked.;)

Still love my Photoshop. Miss using Bryce 3D too.

I still play with Bryce if ya need it just pm me. I used to like Caligari Truspace a lot

Oh I got the appz covered...just lost the focus and concentration needed for rendering, I think.

I did these ages ago:

http://www.discogs.com/viewimages?release=3344

The full cover was fucking beautiful and took a week to make on a PIII with a FireGL 1000 video card...also used Photoshop 5.5 for FX and text. :D

Yes, I liked TS3 a lot, then they went all WTF with the GUI. Also, enjoyed Crystal 3D Impact Pro

Yes. Much better for me than .5. That's way too hot for me. 1.2Ω is better.
