I used to tend bar, nobody that ordered a vodka martini ever really wanted vermouth in it. lol
And I've found, at least at the bars I work, MOST people who drink martinis...drink vodka(what "Nancys") martinis rather than gin martinis.
Yeah, I can deal with it if need be.
But, after a New Years work party back in 1992 or so, where my friend the the maitre'd brought a gallon of Tanqueray Gin...nope. No pine tree drinks for me.
I got my drink though; my uncle came over and wanted me to set a new watch for him, so I asked to get a ride to the rite-aid as well.
I prefer Polish potato vodka, like Luksusowa. But I'm poor, so 100-proof Monarch on sale for $12 will suffice. (It's the usual bar liquor around here anyways, except not usually 100-proof)
Plus, I can clean my atties with it..lolz...
If you can see through it, it's not bloody Dirty enough...
It's the closest glass I have to a proper one. It's likely an aperitif glass, but it's old crystal and I don't care. I'll just sit back, watch my shows and enjoy one of the finer little things in life....sans the bar rabble and people. ;-)
