hi steve
hi steve
There was once a time in my life when I was lost. I was wandering around Europe and made my way to St. Petersburg, Russia. Early one morning, I happened upon a club called Golden Dolls. The most beautiful ladies I have ever seen in one place were there. Prim and proper and pristine of dress, the ladies were top shelf. I was quickly surrounded. A large, well dressed American, pocket full of dollars and rubles, an easy target. Lady drinks all around, I spotted a young, sad looking gorgeous blonde in a corner. I went to her couch and asked if I could buy her a drink. Please, she said in a heavy accent. We spoke briefly, her broken English, my broken Russian and arranged a date. I paid the hostess, and the lady was mine for the night. As we left the club, she reached out and my hand as we walked down the street to my hotel, the Grande Europe.
I planned on fucking the shit out of the lady and telling her to leave when I was done. She asked if she could have a drink of water. I saw her sipping the water, sad blue eyes and asked what was wrong. This resulted in a long conversation, which changed me forever. The lady moved to St. Petersburg a few months ago looking for work, but found none and ended up at the gentleman's club. She wanted to go home to the east, but had no money and the club had her passport. Her mother was dying or cancer. As I listened to her tale, I knew she was being honest. I just knew. We kissed and made love, then slept a few hours. Breakfast at the hotel, then a hotel limo to where she was staying. I told Katerina to pack her things, she was going home. Her eyes full of tears, she kissed me and put everything she had in her suitcase and I took her to the train station, where I bought her a ticket. I gave her 30000 rubles and a $100 bill to pay the train inspector if asked for her passport. She was crying and made me give her my address. She would pay me back when she could. I knew she never would, but wrote it down anyway. I stayed with her until her train was boarding and we kissed goodbye.
A month later I got a letter from Katerina. Her mother had died and she was working as a pre school teacher. Enclosed was 100 rubles and a promise to pay the rest. Over the years, I received letters from Katerina, telling me about her life. She was married, had children; a normal life. In each letter she enclosed a few rubles. I stopped getting letters. One day, I received a letter from her young daughter. Katerina had died of cancer. She spoke of me, her daughter said, about how a kind American stranger had saved her. Enclosed was the $100 bill. I still have that bill and the 30000 rubles Katerina sent me. Her daughter sends me a letter every year for Valentines Day.
