My 2nd hip replacement was really nice. too bad i caught a hospital born superbug and went through 2 years of torture and nearly death.
The real doctor i was sent to by ambulance was at the best infected joint replacement team in all of Florida.
When i had the hip with the superbug there was 3 separate times when the infection appeared to go away after 40 days of IV antibiotics.
As soon as i was taken of the antibiotics the thigh area would start to swell up and it would eventually burst open.
During this time i saw things that no human should see. it would burst open spewing out orange fluid mixed with dead flesh, bone, black blood clots, etc...
The 2nd and 3rd time this happened i took pictures as it happened so the doctor would believe it happened how i said it happened.
There was a time when i was grabbing handfuls of dead flesh and bone coming out of the quarter sized hole that the fluid blew out of.
I put a few handfuls of this stuff on my bathroom counter top.

It took a year and a half of torture from the original doctor that put in the infected hip to finally admit defeat and send me somewhere that would actually solve my problem.

it got so bad my temperature would dip down to 95.5 and go up to 105.3 in a matter of 2 minutes.
it would make my lips and fingertips numb and make me start shivering like i was out in below zero temperatures.
I was in central Florida and was in a sweat suit laying in my front lawn in August when it was 100 degrees outside just so i could get my teeth to stop chattering.

Finally I got so pissed off i went to the original doctors office and told him if he didn't send me somewhere that could actually help me my mother assured them she would sue the shit out of everybody in that building if i died.
I WAS going to die if i didn't get his diseased hip out of me.

I had SEVERE bone loss and celulitis along with 5 dime to quarter size holes that constantly leaked orange fluid on my thigh throughout the ordeal.

My advice DO NOT EVER GO TO SOUTH LAKE HOSPITAL FOR ANYTHING IN CENTRAL FLORIDA.
AVOID DR. JAMES M. RAY AT ANY COST.

What the fuckers is this? I just got my istick to work by pulling out the 510 connection with a crocheting needle.

"Little Miss Muffet sat on her tuffet and pulled out her 510 with a knitting needle.
When she was done she had a thimble of rum
And vaped on her parallel vaping gun"

Been meaning to DVR that! So its worth investing my time into, huh?
I'd say so. I like it. Should start from the beginning though, otherwise you won't really know what's going on.

That's pretty horrible. I almost lost my right leg years ago due to a Strep A infection. It just blew up and exploded at the top of my inner thigh. I was in the emergency room dying, delirious. When they finally saw me they called a surgeon, anesthesiologist, and infection specialist. They dug it out. It had started necrotizing and killing the flesh around the wound. They didn't know what it was right away, so had me in isolation and pumped me with antibiotics. 2 days later, surgery again to dig more out- almost down to the bone. It was on the inside fleshy part of my thigh. Anywhere else, it would have gotten to the bone. A week later I went home with the wound open, but packed in silver impregnated foam with a drape and wound vac. Every 2 days for 2 weeks I had to go to the wound center to have them pull out the foam, which was stuck to growing tissue and pack it again. The Vicodin and Percocet made me loopy, so I just took the pain. A month later it was completely closed up, tissue healed and good as new, except for a 6 inch scar.

My superbug was a streptococcus type infection and i got cellulitis along the way where the 15" long incision was too.
Those strep infections in legs ain't no joke.
I went in on easter weekend. the doctor went in and cleaned the area out and when i woke up the incision was still open and some pink stuff was packed in there. he went in three more time sewing it up a couple of inches on each side after repeating the cleaning process. on easter Sunday 2011 he sealed it up. It didn't help one bit.

The infection would hide in the metal since metal is porous. the metal would glaze over with bodily fluid while i was on IV antibiotics. as soon as i was taken off the antibiotics the infection would sneak back out of the metal and take over the whole thigh.

the only way to fix it was to remove the 2nd metal hip and pelvis completely taking ever bit of metal out of my left side.
then i had no hip and pelvis socket from August 2012 (when i quit smoking and started vaping) until Feb. 2013 when I got the 3rd hip in the xrays put in. by then there wasn't much flesh and bone left for the new doctor to work with.

I was looking for the Sig 150w box mod...if it was me you were thinking of...but that right there is a sweet mod!!!

The 150 watt Sigelei V2 is a sweet mod.
I got one to replace my Chana 30 that fried to be used with my kanger subtank.
At 37 watts it lasts 4 days before the batteries even get down to 30%

I use stuff like this for my drippers:

Yeah, Strep is something else. It is rare, but can be deadly. My surgeon said I wasn't just lucky not to lose the leg, but to still be alive. It spread like crazy, which is why they did an ultrasound and went in again 2 days later. The wound vac was amazing. No stitches and it grew back so fast they had to stop growth with sulfur a couple times, because the tissue was growing too fast. They told me at the hospital there are so many germs there I would have to take antibiotics the whole time I was getting the wound packed and dressed, even though I no longer had an infection, because hospitals are so dirty. I was a bit shocked.

2 centimeters from punching out of me knee:
The orthopedic surgeon said thats the furthest down he has ever seen one seat out of over 1000 that he had done.
He specializes in removing infected hips and killing the superbug then putting new hips back in.

I got some cool shit like that, in a smaller scale from my knee down. It a foot long with I wanna say 9 screws.

I want them to pull it out after I die and give it to my wife for a fuckhead knocker but they wont let me! And I bought the damn thing!

If I'm on a death bed and get a chance I may cut it out myself before they show up. I watched'em put it in I could take it out! :D

every time i called the doctor with questions or concerns they would say "come on in for a few days" or "you need to come check yourself in"
i basically told them i would rather stay home and i would show up whenever they wanted to run a test. they didn't get the hint.
finally i flipped out on the girl and said "i'm not staying in your dirty ass hospital which is where i caught this infection in the 1st place. if i'm getting surgery i will go home as soon as i can get to the car. i am not staying in your death trap of a hospital ever again"

the finally sent me to the doctor at ORMC Orlando that basically saved my life and my leg luckily didn't have to get amputated.
fuck south lake hospital.

They had me on so many antibiotics I must have lucked out. The infection and any others I may have caught at the hospital never came back. I was ready to go after a week. I had a corner room all to myself with a nice view, but it was near the heli pad, which would. Wake me up a few times a night. I did miss the nurses and nursing students. They were hotties and the wound was in my inner thigh, so they had to handle me every time they packed it with the foam and drape. :)
