Battery safety

I have a littlefoot mech mod made by Wakemodco and I was wondering if I can safely use a Samsung 18650 -35E in it? Your help will be appreciated thank you

Oh, Lord, please don't! That's an 8A battery. You're a lot safer with a Samsung 20S or Molicel P26A or P28A.

You didn't mention what you are using on that mech mod... RDA, RTA... and what coil (resistance) you are using. That's what really matters but I agree (a 8 amp battery is not the way to go) This is a mech bro... time to do your homework. BTW, you are welcome and better to ask questions than guess. We are here to help.

General "rule of thumb" for mech mods is to use at least a 20 amp battery. Think it even carries over to regulated devices. 20 amps and above are generally less risky to use than batteries with lower amp ratings.

Things like the atomizer, coil ohms really are not an issue with a generality. Appreciate where you're heading in wanting that information. It though is a bit irrelevant for "general safety".

Think the OP was only looking for "general safety" as well. "Roughly, is X safe to use?" Seems a pretty generalized query.

Thanks for the previous help, I know my questions may sound stupid but better safe than sorry, so I want to run dual coils on the littlefoot mech instead of just a single coil, I bought good batteries LG HG2 with 20A continuous, what ohm's should I shoot for? Someone told me at least .42 can it be higher than that? Any help will be appreciated, thanks

What metal is your wire? If it isn't stainless steel, you probably don't want more than about 0.35 ohms, you'll have too much metal mass for your single battery. One 18650 pushing two individual coils at more than 0.7 ohms each is a tall order, especially after the battery isn't fully charged any more.

I run single coils on single cell 18650 batteries. Aim for about 0.30 to 0.50 Ohm's rating myself. Have tried going to 0.25 or lower, finding the vapor gets physically hot for me at that. It also drains batteries a bit too quick for my tastes. I'm a Luddite that keeps things simple. My humble experience and opinion aside, you'll do what you want.

I don't think that makes you a Luddite, I think it's a more efficient use of the oomph that is available from a single battery. Even the best 18650 on the market isn't going to drive two big kanthal coils without becoming a veritable sloth. I'm not into the push-the-fire-button-and-wait deal. Plus, as the battery discharges, if you aren't careful you'll put it under enough stress that it can overheat.

Great big sluggish coils in mech tubes and such require several 18650s or bigger batteries like 21700s. Just my two cents. When I press the fire button, I want the mod to fire.

I have a Manhattan v2 using a correct rated 18650 battery can somebody give me a good single coil build? Thanks all

For the way I like to vape, I'd put a 4 or 5 wrap stainless 26/38-ish Clapton (no more than 2 core wires), or 26awg parallel round stainless wire, 3mm ID, ohms at about 0.35 to 0.4. That's warm but not hot, decent vapor density, with airflow dialed back a bit, and an RDA/drip tip that gives me a little distance between the coil and my lips.

It really depends on how you like to vape. What I just described isn't for everyone.

Maybe add one more wrap to what I described there. You can always remove a wrap if you want, but you can't add one! I'd hate for you to end up with a 0.08 ohm coil. Please test it on an ohm reader or regulated mod, ok?
