Has anyone tried Flavor west?

I have made plenty of my own ejuice, and i was tired of ordering little 8ml for wizard labs. I found alot of people saying flavor west was a good company...so i ordered a few things...they come in 7ounce bottles.

THEY ARE DISGUSTING! most are fruit flavors....which should be fine to vape right away..but nothing mixes! the flavor will just sit ontop of the glycerin....even steeping a week wont help.
and everything has a really bad aftertaste.

Just wondering if anyone has had my experience or any tips on what to do....i spent alot of money on stuff i cant even use.

I got 2 flavors from ECX... Banana and graham cracker. The graham cracker is pretty tasty, but the banana is awful. ECX didn't have fa banana, so I figured why not FW. Big mistake - tastes like cheap banana candy.

I haven't tried FW, but I have heard that some like it and some don't. You might try to sell the ones you don't like, in the for sale section. Use the money for better flavors. I personally like Flavor Arts.

Never order big bottles of "new" flavorings, only the ones you like, or run out of quickly.

I really liked a pre-mix I got from MBV called Caramel Candy so I ordered a 250ml pre-mixed bottle later.
It was nasty, and made me cough and gag, tried cutting it with lot of plain base but ended up dumping it down the drain.

FW Fruits do take some steep time to get better, like Rainbow Sherbet & Orange Dream Bar, (need to shake and maybe some heat).
10% is plenty strong enough for me.
But I also add 3% TFA Vanilla Swirl & 1-2% TFA Sweet Cream to help take the edge off.

Other FW flavors I like:

Blueberry (when mixed 50-50 with TFA Blueberry Wild)
Butter Pecan (love this one)
Butterscotch (good)
Candy Cane (good)
Cinnamon Roll (good)
Coconut (fair)
Madagascar Vanilla (good)
Pineapple (fair)
Pina Colada (fair)
Pie Crust (great)(changed from fair)
Sugar Cookie (fair)
Cake Yellow (some rave about this but I've never used it yet)

But I do tend to like the Bakery and Citrus type flavors best, along with Blueberry & Blackberry (VZ).
Most of the other "Red" fruits are just plain nasty to me.
10% is too high for Pineapple but just right for Butter Pecan IMO.
And 1% is too high for Maraschino Cherry, lol.

I like FW dragonfruit better than TPA. TPA version tastes comparatively like bubble gum to me.

If I was the last person in the world to try the "one best" flavor, I'd still buy a sample first because my taste buds are weird. FA bilberry I can't taste, the popular Cap custard v2 I hate...

Like music, not every epic melody is by the same artist. Trying to stick with one company may simplify a restock invoice but offers no other advantage I can see. FW has some good and bad. If I was to buy a massive bottle of a flavor I'd never tried, the risk of waste is the least IME with FlavourArt.

IMO FW tastes generally more "candy ready" than "accurate."

I use some FW flavors. Hazelnut, butterscotch, yellow cake and cinnamon roll all stand out when compared to similar type flavors from various vendors.

I have a few FW flavors because a local B&M uses them and I wanted to replicate one or two juices for my own personal use. I use butter rum as a single flavor mix.

I ordered my favorite ice cream flavor from them recently - Rocky Road. But from the smell I'm slightly reluctant to be disappointed, so I haven't tried it yet :p

I like FW Tres Leches--it really does taste "milky" in a multi-dimensional way. Their Cinnamon Roll is useful and pretty tasty, but easy to over-do. I'm guessing the reason for this is that it has AP in it, and i'm finding (as have so many before me, lol!) that if you get too much AP in one place, the result tastes bad and burnt.

If you like the Yellow Cake flavor (I like it with any brand strawberry for an extremely artifically-yet-yummy combo), they have a good one. Actually, the only one I know of. I love the Butter Pecan. All the FW flavors I like are the ones I know probably have the questionable ingredients, unfortunately. :/

Down the line, I'd be interested to hear about Rocky Road and Macadamia Nut. @AmandaD and @Artemis
I was looking at Macadamia nut myself recently.

FW Macadamia was a disappointment to me, not to mention a dark coil-clogger.

I think FW's strength is candy flavors. Black licorice (jelly bean), Candy Cane, Swedish Fish, Zebra-Stripe Gum... they do flavors like that just right.

Before jumping in with the 7oz bottles, I'd recommend getting smaller samples from them here (noted as "A Flavor West Company): http://diyjuice.com/. $2.75 for 7.5ml - Seems a little steep to me for sample flavors, but I guess I'm just spoiled with Pure Vapes/Wizard Labs/Mamajsjuice $1.50 sample prices.

You can get 10mls for 1.67 at ECX!

I really should have known that, because I actually have Yellow Cake coming to me from ECX. OOPS! I looked at diyjuice a number of times because ECX and BCV would be sold out of the flavors I wanted. I should also probably point out that 10mls of FW are also available from bullcityvapor.com for $1.75. OOPS again!

Thanks for reminding me!

If you don't mind me asking, what is your percent for the Butter Rum stand alone?
I just recently got that one and I'm looking for a starting point.
TIA

Oh, I didn't know Bull City sold FW! They're my go-to for everything that's in stock :)

I mix at 10% in all VG and 3% nic. You could probably go a bit lower with some PG in there. This was one of my first flavors and I keep going back to it.

Thanks, I really like the Butter Pecan around the same amount too.

Have to try mixing both together for a "Butter Pecan Rum".

I have to agree with HIC on this, FW makes some of the best candy flavors around. My personal favorite is their Red Licorice flavor. No other company sells anything close to this. Classic red rope licorice at it's finest. And if you like twizzlers better, add 5% TFA raspberry sweet or 2% FA strawberry.

I had to try out one of my older flavors as I recently tasted it straight from the bottle out of curiosity.
Bottle has been collecting dust from a year ago.

Revised my older post about FW Pie Crust.
Was surprised by this one.

Tried it stand alone at 7.5% and it was very yummy.
Reminds me of FW Cinnamon Roll, but without the Cinnamon Part.
Maybe like pie crust only sweeter.
After vaping this for a long time the flavor seems to diminish.
Had to switch to another tank (flavor) for a bit.
Went back to it later and flavor was stronger again.

BTW I don't think I've seen any recipes using this...

It's hit & miss with Flavor West. It's much more "miss" for me. I just had a very bad experience with a 4oz bottle of "Fruit Rings" That $hit was so NASTY! Taste nothing like cereal or fruit. It turned my mixes cloudy and the guy at customer service was a nightmare. I now boycott them. Just my $0.02

I bought some FW samplers when just starting out - have had some okay experiences, some not-so-great. FlavourArt really knocks my socks off, though, so I now go there whenever possible. TFA, Cap, and INW are my backups, haven't ordered any FW since my first go-round...

Getting my first FW flavors tomorrow. Got Blueberry, which I hope is very candylike, and Cheesecake.

Hopefully the Cheesecake is good because I got 30mls of it, but it was only $3, so it isn't that big of a deal if it sticks.

The Blueberry is a little bitter/sharp to me but I usually mix it 50-50 with TFA Blueberry Wild.
Needs some other things added to soften and sweeten a bit IMO.

Had the Cheesecake for long time too, but not used much since I tried CAP's.

I know quite a few have had issues with them too, most all my FW flavors came from MBV a long time ago.
Trying some of the flavors I've never even used yet, lol.
