Hey guys,

I hope I'm posting this in the right place... Got a question about boxes. And the end of all things.

So I seemed to have, in the short few months that I've been DIYing, amassed a lot of glass bottles, concentrated flavours bottles (in fact almost every type of bottle imaginable), packaged syringes, gloves, wire... My desk, which is usually tidy-ish and reserved for my music equipment, is overrun with DIY gear, the damn bottle apocalypse, etc., with the music stuff back in their boxes. And I've got another 24 flavours arriving tomorrow, most of which I'll be mixing 10ml testers of, so that's another 48 god damn bottles in total. These things are conspiring to take over my entire apartment, and must be stopped.

I need help. And a box. Or five. With compartments.

So, I'm wondering how you guys store your stuff? I was thinking of getting one box for my concentrates, another for my (mostly disgusting) concoctions, and another smaller one for other general stuff. Problem is, I'm having no luck in finding decent bottle storage boxes. I found some aromatherapy boxes, but they're stupidly expensive. I heard on the grapevine that someone uses a fishing tackle box, but I don't wanna get one and find my bottles don't fit.

Help me, Vaping Underground(ers). You're my only hope.

PS. I'm in the UK.

Hmmm...I'm a storage nut, but I'm not sure what's available over there. Have you checked out Ikea? They have some pretty awesome storage thing-a-ma-gigs with wheels.

If I were you I'd take the tackle box route. Just go check them out, see which one you think would work best for what you want. I'd say one with at least three trays on top for your random stuff and there's a big open compartment in the bottom that you can section off with cardboard or whatever other material you may prefer.

I was gonna get one before I got all my stuff and decided not to and I'm regretting my decision greatly. I will definitely be purchasing one soon. Probably a large one and a smaller one. I'm a freak when it comes to organization.

I had a large one but outgrew it too quickly. I have one of these and then have balsa boxes/acrylic shelves to organize everything. I like it because I can wheel it into the closet when not in use.

I reckon I'll see if I can find a fishing shop nearby, take along some bottles to make sure they'd fit. Cheers Joebear :)

I finally bought a 3-drawer rolling cart for all my flavorings. I use craft boxes (from the fishing dept-cheaper) for the bottles, and try to keep them in alphabetical order. Might try in flavor groups one of these days. Anyway, I can just roll it to the kitchen and mix, then roll it back to it's hidey-hole.

I have a couple big tackle boxes that I use, made bottle holders by cutting strips of cardboard and making a grid to store the bottles in.

[ Here's another method I use & it has the advantage of being near free. Go to the Post Office & get a bunch of Small Flat Rate boxes. They are free & made of pretty sturdy cardboard made to protect during shipping. I'm also a fountain pen collector & was aware of the next secret item that pen collectors often use. It is a flocked corrugated liner that you cut to the size you need. They come in colors & are pretty inexpensive. The cost is around $7 a sheet & each sheet will make 3 boxes of the size I use. It works out to around $2.50 a box that will hold up to 19 10ml bottles or an assortment of others. I'm including a link to where I purchase the liners & a few photos. Don't seal the tops on the USPS boxes so use a bit of tape on the corners to hold them together. Also trim off any flaps that get in the way. This lets me close the tops for storage & I can carry quite a few when I'm ready to mix.

What a great idea! And the boxes are free. I'm going to use this idea for lots of stuff, thanks gryffandor!
