How to get the right mods for my Nautilus?

Hi guys, thanks so much for the great info on this site. I'm real glad to have found it.

I was wondering what options I have with the Aspire Nautilus tank.

Currently I'm using the Itaste MVP 2.0 but I'd like a couple more options. I was just concerned if I get something with too high of a wattage for my device, i'll screw something up.

I'm fairly new to the whole process (obviously) but I'm trying to learn more.

Just because a mod is capable of high power doesn't mean you have to set it to supply high power. People half step buying new mods all the time. They go to 20 watts, then 30, 50,etc, then wind up eventually with a 100 or 150 watt device. If you plan to upgrade your atty someday, don't mess with mods that are just good enough for now. Get something that has enough power and battery life to run whatever you want as hard as you want. I suggest a Sigelei 100 watt plus or Sigelei 150. Buy one and done. Has enough power to properly run an rda, has dual batteries for good runtime and can be used at low power settings for things like a nautilus. A big power Sigelei to run any atty and a mech for reliable backup is all the mods anyone really needs. However, if you're positive you'll never upgrade your atomizer, a less powerful single battery mod might suit you better. If there's a possibility of upgrading though......

The max watts I would probably go on the Nautilus is 17. You can pick up any variable wattage device as long as it can go to 20 watts but most devices range from 7 watts all the way up to 150. Most of the higher watt devices will give you more battery life but the device will be larger. That being said you could go with an istick 20 watt or 30 watt, a Sigelei 30 watt and stay reasonably small in size. On the other hand you could get a Sigelei 150 watt and gain battery life. Most of the 20-30 devices range in price from $30-50 while the higher wattage devices will run pretty much from $75 upwards.
As long as you don't go too high in watts on any device you'll be ok. The most you would screw up with higher wattages is the coil, it would burn and taste nasty.

Before I'd recommend a mod that only goes down to 10w ( ie the Sigelei's )... I'd want to know what setting they are already vaping their atty at. On a 1.8 ohm coil, 10w would be around 4.2v

I'd suspect, but wouldn't want to assume still... that someone vaping on a MVP 2.0 with only a Nautilus... they'd be using lower power/voltage settings.

Thanks guys, I'm fairly happy with the power so far with the mvp. I was just thinking as stated above by boom/ng, I might want to go higher...like maybe the Atlantis?

I appreciate the help all.

My comment was just to put into perspective that you may want to go lower than the 10w that the Sigelie's mentioned were capable of... Not to discourage them as a possible mod for you because they are good mods but may not go as low as you may ( or may not ) want. ... just a consideration to think about.

Umm, won't his MVP cover the power range offered by the MVP? o_O

I agree.. Paulie, I would keep that Nautilus paired with the MVP 2, and if you wanted to go higher, get an Atlantis or Subtank Mini and pair it with something like the iStick 50w.

I hear you rdsok. I just frequently see people that could have got a dual battery, big power mod and been done instead of buying three other mods then finally getting a dual battery, big power mod. He's got 6watts - 11watts covered. Why not get something that covers 10watts - all a sane person would ever need. Just something to consider.

I prefer a smaller one battery sized mod... I can carry another spare battery ( or more ) if needed and I can still have something that isn't overly large in my hand. I also doubt that I will go beyond 50w myself... currently I'm in the 23-25w range. I went with a iPV Mini 2 since it gave me about 20w beyond what I can conceive that I'd ever use... I'm not a cloud chaser, in fact I put up with them to get the flavor I'm after lol...

I just don't see a dual battery or 100+w mod being what most are needing... I do get the logic to go that way, I just can't see it fitting most everyone.

What is wrong with the mpv 2? Are you requiring more watts than the 11w for your Nautilus? If you are pretty much going to be sticking to the Nautilus and 11w is a tad bit to low you really don't need to go much further but you might want to look at the 30w devices on the market. There will be plenty of 30w options in both removable battery type and not.

You say you are new so more than likely your vaping styles will change a bit over time so you might also want to consider a device that you can grow into as your interests expand. Those types could be a 30w, 50w, 60w, 70w, 100w, or a 150w device. I know those devices seem a bit of a stretch to recommend when you are looking to pair the Nautilus but vaping styles do change some and imo it is better to be ready for anything rather than be tied to just one thing.

One issue too consider with the higher wattage mod is step down and accuracy. You also want to make sure it can fire sub ohm. The size of the mod and if you'll want to carry it around is another consideration. One 18650 battery in my vapor shark is perfect for what I want to carry and it gets me through an entire day. Some of the 100-150 w mods are just to awkward for me to want with me everywhere. But that's an issue of personal taste.
So ,many options, and such....
I generally recommend a newer vapor start with say the istick30 it does Step down well, its got sufficient power for most for a day, and enough wattage if you decide to go to an Atlantis or similar sub ohm tank
Also, being you have the MVP, maybe you would like the ,mvp3 with 30w? It will step down and subohm, also you know first hand innokin puts out a good product,

Awesome guys, thanks. I'm leaning in the Istick 30 direction at the moment...This lifestyle looks like it's going to be just like all the rest of my hobbies extensive/expensive!

Istick 30 looks and sounds like a good one. While my thoughts on getting a single, large capacity, big power, do it all device can help reduce the overall number of mods a person ends up buying, getting multiple devices over time so you can better pair atty's and power supplies is certainly more fun and can provide a better experience. As long as you're getting quality devices along the way, have fun and enjoy the ride. I still have my modified mvp2. I don't use it anymore, but I still love the thing and am very glad that I bought it when I did. The paths vapers can take are many. Consider them all and do what's right for you.
