I have no idea where I picked all of that up...I really haven't even surfed very much on this laptop yet. but I will download all the programs you suggested and run them religiously. hopefully I will not have any more problems like that.

Cool. Make sure you run malwarebytes anti exploit, that should keep your box alright.
Also, disable scripts on your browser, or set it to ask for permission. Again, we're here to help.
Oh, yeah. Zonealarm. get the free version and run that too.
That way if you inadvertently get a trojan it can't call home to get the payload.
I know what your box got infected with - been there done that.
I just can't remember what it's called. But those ads in the screen you posted was the giveaway.
It's not really dangerous it's just underhandedly sneaky shit.

ZoneAlarm - great app! High maintenance, but great app. Do you still have to turn off Windows firewall for it or did they resolve that? It has been a while since I used it.

Win 7 I got that part already but when i got a new computer they (wachovia) asked me to change my password and confirm the change through an email.
Then they asked me 3 security questions and they ask me one of the 3 each and every time I log on.

Also, do you use a proxy or VPN

For cars, they rate fuel economy and expensive green hybrid vehicles much higher than I would for example. But I think the reliability survey of vehicle owners reported by Consumer Reports is objective. It's not their opinion but the collective experience of owners.

Again, what software came with it? You obviously picked up Superfish, Deal Slider, Right Coupon, Hot Deals, etc, etc, etc from somewhere. If it is new, one of the software that came with it could be the culprit.

Be sure to change your bank password and any other sites you logged onto ASAP. Might want to pick some new security questions too.

You have to be very careful not to install stuff in a hurry and make sure you say no to everything except the actual software you want.
Also, don't trust any of the downloader executables everybody uses now.

Ya, I always go to the source. Get Malwarebytes Pro and the Anti-Exploit posted above (same company). It'll help.

Also, next time you think you are hit with something like this, download and run Combo Fix http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/combofix/ , if that doesnt do it, then restore your computer. As time goes by, restoring will become more of a pita.
