IMHO, youtube is a wasteland of copycats and nut huggers.
there are a handful of honest reviewers who's only intention is to inform but from what I see, the majority of them are only there to profit..

Granted, you can learn a thing or two from some tubers but for the most part, these guys are hacks.
personalities that make it entertaining while explaining little.
they'll tell you all about how a particular mod is the latest and greatest but next month the same mod isn't even an afterthought.

I get it, I truly do....
vaping is one of the fastest growing techs our generation has seen and new shit drops weekly but ask any you tube reviewer what their go to would be if they could only choose one setup.
all of that gimmicky shit would be set by the way side and they would most likely go with a tried and true mech or variable and rta out of sheer convenience.

This brings me to the gimmick coils.
do you really want to spend more time building the doggamn thing than vaping on it?
It's just more bored assholes looking to come up with the latest and greatest while trying to be an Internet personality.

You can tell a tuber is full of shit If they show you a build, give you the g, turns and ohm of a build but don't show the values on how they came to it.

Right on. I do occasionally build weird twisted stuff, but I've never twisted a wire in my life. Well, at least not intentionally. I buy the shit already twisted into claptons or flat bastards or what have you and try it. It's all pretty much a gimmick. There's a slight difference from coil to coil, but none that I have tried are significantly better than a simple straight coil. Except for single coil builds, in which case I do enjoy a parallel coil, but that's not twisted so it doesn't count. lol

Last "coil" I made was put in a toaster I made in 8th grade shop. Look I taught B E & E for 5 years. None of this crap is rocket science , what .. in the early 1900's they made the first caseless resistor,.which is all a "coil" is.
