So as you can see with my other threads, I've had it with my CE5 and trying to get any flavor out of it.
I finally figured out through some research what the difference between clearomizers and cartomizers is.
I then looked catromizers up on my go-to website and here it is:
https://www.myfreedomsmokes.com/tan...ini-pp-single-coil-cartomizer-1-7ohm-5pk.html
I found these, watched a review. Is this the thing for me? I have a 650 mah variable voltage iJoy eGo battery if that means anything.
What interests me about these cartomizers is the "stuffing/filler" or whatever you call it, and the lack of wick. I want to know if these would be rebuildable and how. Can you just replace the filler with something like organic cotton when it goes bad? And how would this wick be rebuilt, if it can be?
I'm in a rush to figure this out because my CE5 is failing me and I can't dump 50 bucks on a fancy clearomizer. I'm slowly starting to smoke analogs again because my CE5 is not satisfying anymore.

It's not 2012, upgrade my man. The Istick 30 and kanger subtank would be a great upgrade for you. These coils look like a single verticle coil with a full cotton ball around it for the wicking. Upgrade your ego and you will be glad you did.

Woah, way too expensive for me. But thanks for the suggestion.

nautilus mini maybe? i loved my full size nautilus when ditched protanks and aerotanks , you wont beable to replace the wicking in the cartomizers but maybe you could even get a protank and eventually rebuild those heads

Those SMOK cartomizers will frustrate you. Each holds 15 drops of juice. That will get old, filling the cartos. I like having at least a 4ml tank, so I only have to clean and fill once a day. I replace my dirty coil with a clean coil that I have soaked overnight in Vodka (actually the night before...soaked in Vodka, rinsed in water, then laid out on a paper towel to dry for a day...that means 3 coils are in rotation). The best idea, though, is if you have access to vape shops, go check out your options. I didn't do that since I don't have access, and it costs more to buy and then try than to try before you buy. Good luck on your eternal search for the ultimate vape. As RIP Trippers says, "Don't give up on Vaping..." [[[ Finally, the solution could be as easy as buying more coils for your CE5, and starting a coil rotation as I described. Dirty coils don't provide clean flavor. ]]]

If you decide to go the cartomizer route I would segues to buy a cheap carto tank with it. They're great it's what I mostly used for a year until I got in to rebuilding, and there not to expensive to replace either. I would also suggest you watch I few videos on YouTube about priming and setting up cartomizer tanks so that you can have great vape with no troubles.

Pick yourself up some Kanger Evod (single coil) tanks and enjoy on your 650mah ego battery....coils are cheap if you dont care to learn how to recoil and wick them...i recommend the 1.8ohm coil packs.

The possible choices are mind-boggling. Do what I did...BUY THEM ALL!!!!
Lol good idea but not an option for me. I need one good tank that will last me for the long run.

I copied this from the thread "How Much Are We Really Saving?"
"
Depends... I have a colleague at work who has 3 el-cheapo Ego batteries and 3 PT2 clearos. She's had them from day one, a year and a half ago, and she doesn't want to give them up because she says they're enough to keep her off tobacco. She's sat on the batteries more times than she can count, filled them with sand at the beach, had one fixed by our company's electronics workshop when it had a wire come unsoldered. Her gear looks totally battered. But she says she'll use it as long as it won't quit, because she sees no point in spending any more money than necessary.

PT2 = ProTank 2.
Do you think a protank is good enough for me? I've had a lot of trouble with my CE5 in terms of flavor and vapor production. A protank costs like 15-25 bucksbucks Do you think it will last? I'll gladly spend that much as long as I never need to buy another clearo.

Flavor seems to be most important to you. Yet vapor is also important. I have some CE5s Bottom Vertical Coil (BVC). They are acceptable, but I no longer like to vape out of plastic tanks. Glass feels better (probably doesn't really matter). And you have a price range. $20ish is about right for a quality tank. And then there's the juice issue. If you are vaping 50/50, the BVC works fine. High VG doesn't work so well in the BVC. Is there a fail safe purchase? Maybe.
If you like the idea of rebuilding, here is a link to an RDA that is supposed to be a good mouth to lung hitter (sounds like that is you):
