It actually means "Physcial Vapor Deposition" which is a way of adding a colored coating to a mod or other things.

And Yep, the Lingo can be an utter bitch at first but you will get the hang of it and eventually be able to keep up with it as it evolves as it seems to be a living, breathing language all of its own.

Just keep asking as many questions as you can think of.

I kinda get the vape acronyms but a lot of the ones in social Medea and tweeting, twerking and whatever else have me baffled half of the time!

You haven't seen nothing of acronyms.....heh, I have gotten use to them, long before I started vaping

You would be surprised.

I have been a supplier to the DOD/the Military for a number of years now.

I have even been refered to (in a good natured fashion by friends) as General Cluster.F

Where do you think I got used to them.....I have 3 regulations averaging 500 pages each that do nothing but list acronyms

I kinda figured that out from your avitar;)

In all honesty, you didn't exactly make it subtle...... :D Thanks for serving, too.

I know I've got nothing on your list of acronyms. But working on cars, we have our fair share... One for every module (up to 25 on domestics), sensors & actuators / solenoids, DTC's....

Well here's another question....
What's the deal with using organic cotton vs regular cotton from the drug store for wicking?
And can I use just regular cotton?

I ended up buying the regular way back when, but the organic was sold out. Would have gone the extra dollar or two for organic if available. A bag should last until a zombie cure is discovered.

I dint mind the price, just curious why I see most builders using it.
And what's the deal with the silica rope wick stuff?

Tried it, hated it. Made juice taste muted, and added an odd flavor I couldn't live with. If you get the hang of how much cotton to wick with, I notice no additional or muted flavor. Generally, if you taste cotton you've used to much.

I think you can dry burn the silica though to clean it up, but re-cottoning is not too bad.

I was not aware cotton had a flavor!! so the organic has less of a chance of messing with the flavor of your juice?

It will have a cottony taste if you use too much, whether regular or organic. That perfect amount and density is what you'll learn over time and experimentation.
