Maybe I'll have to give it a shot
do it ... temp control seems to work until the juice is gone then its like full force .... 410 degrees on the smok felt the same as 410 degrees on the vaporflask clone using the kanger nickel occ heads ... just mind your wick as usual and its a pretty consistent vape and i am loving the mech mode also , this thing will be my everyday carry forsureMaybe I'll have to give it a shot
Me too! I bought the gold one at the same price! MVS was first to offer the XPro. So far so good, and I like that the XPro runs forever on its built-in batteries!I saw that review as well 'before' ordering me one last night, lol. I don't care about the TC aspect. It was $55 plus shipping from MVS. They still have the gold one in stock. That's cheap for an 'authentic' mod that goes up to 80 watts that includes a built in 4400mah LiPo battery setup AND can take builds down to .1ohm. And it is pretty damn small for a dual 18650 battery box. I will just carry my Cana mini 30 V3 as a backup if need be(it's the same size as a dual 18650 battery holder!), lol.
Hmmm...no wonder I'm getting a fuller vape from the XPro than from the DNA40!! Thanks for sharing. Guess I'd better wait for the firmware upgrade. It's not only the ramp up time with the temp mode which is a fail but the whole temp mode is a fail
If you have the v0004 (when you pin the reset it will tell you) you can upgrade to v0005. Maybe that will fix it. I've used mine in wattage mode with a 1.8 ohm tank, and now in temp mode with a 0.2 ohm tank. Both work fine. Mechanical mode doesn't seem necessary to play with. To upgrade seems complicated via the USB but I would do it if I needed to. I don't feel the need to do it yet.Well my M80 just shit the bed, in wattage mode it won't go over 3 volts. I tried multiple attys on it ranging from .2 to 1.9 ohms. I used the reset and restarted it. It will however go over 3 volts in mech mode, I'm thinking a chip issue. I have emailed the vendor to try and get it taken care of. This sucks
I think the upgrade makes it more responsive, more like a DNA40. I don't care about response time. It works if I work with it. Meaning, I press the button, exhale slightly into mouthpiece until I see a puff of vape, then inhale until the display dims (when the display dims it means it has shut off). But I do have to admit the DNA40 works better overall. Sorry that some are having big issues with the M80...if mine fried I would be upset, also.Yea I not gonna bother with any upgrades either like Woods says...I use it for what I need and thankfully works great. I do run into every once and a while seems like in the middle of firing it stops or delay almost..I know that the Cloupor 30w mini has a .05 second delay between pressing the fire button and actual vape production, but this will be press fire starts cooking and then nothing for .05 second then continues to fire again?? I don't know if this is something an "Update" would fix or its not even a problem to begin with. It's hard to duplicate I can't do it on command,it just seems to happen every so often. I have the Sub Tank Mini on my XPRO 80w which eh I'm not so pleased with. I was at first cause it was a big upgrade from what I had,but now I'm not a fan with continuous use. Coils seem to not last long at all even at considerably low wattage 15-17w for 1.2 ohm and 22.5-25w for 0.5 ohm coils I'm going through coils every couple days, the rebuild is ok but the holes for juice to coil is way to small and dry burns happen more then I like...I'm gonna get a dripper most likely and ditch the rebuild frankentanks but I like that the XPRO will make for an easy transition...
it will be a breeze to replace the batteries when they crap out , its 2 18650s shrinkwrapped together lol
Well I let it charge to 100% overnight and now it is working properly, for the time being. When it happened it was at 72%, now to let the battery drain and see if it happens again. I actually upgraded to the v0005 a few weeks ago.

The failed cotton test is a concern. Yet there is some level of temp control in the M80. Pressing the fire button causes a gradual rise in the temperature reading. When the set temp is reached, the unit shuts off. But WHY didn't it shut off with the dry cotton test? Did the tester press the button again after it shut off? Nevertheless, the M80 is a less user-friendly TC mod than any of the the DNA40 clones (same price range of $60-$90).I have one haven't try the temp Control yet.
But I saw a vid on it and they did a what they call the 420 test.
He he compared it with a vapor shark and Dana 40 clone. And you put cotton in and dry fire it. The smok m80 caught the cotton on fire while the other 2 didn't burn the cotton.
I got cause of the temp control but EVEYTHING works fine. If you are looking for a mod with that feature this is not the one.

The only way to know is to have a clone and an original. Bummer that your first clone died. There seem to be a variety of clone types. I ordered two from 3FVape (they are now out of stock). One had "Made in USA" embossed into its case; the other did not. Both are doing well after a couple weeks of regular use (I don't vape above 25 watts). My genuine Hana is also doing well (and seems to feel flattered that the clones want to imitate it...although the clones are V3 and the genuine is a V4). NOTE: If you want a genuine, Hana has s.i. units for $30 less ($180 for a V4 dual)...it seems like the chip in my hana clone behaves a little more like im assuming the authentic does .. not sure who made the chip but it seems better then the kangxin . BUT the first hana clone i recieved died after 2 hours lol
Just like some stayed with mechanical mods after VV VW appeared....I ended up following temp control so will continue. I never sub ohmed prior to my GCT and M80. So I don't know what that world is all about.Im finding that temp control just doesnt provide a satisfying vape for me ..i have the ipv4 preordered but i will most likely usw it as a vw mod not a tc mod even.if tc works
Maybe but idk he was using his subtank nano on it, it worked great for about 15 minutes and then stopped wanting to fire and would display the error messagemaybe the 510 on his atomizer is too short .. i had 1 that was too short for the m80 it was a plume veil that the 510 was sunk in
