Cigar puffing - vape experiment

so we all know of the two kind of ways to vape.. mouth to lung and lungs hits.

i think its pretty well proven that vapor particles are very small and easily get absorbed in the lungs, so that got me thinking.. could someone just puff on a vape without inhaling and get the same amount of nic through mouth absorption? ive heard the mouth is even better at absorbing than the lungs and ive also heard mouth to lung vapers talk about how the mouth shot is pretty important to them, and when they switch to lung hits they notice the difference bc there is no mouth absorption.

since ive started vaping ive become a lot more active and healthy; running, training/weight lifting, eating better, etc. with that said, im thinking if this is a viable way to vape i want to try it. and share.. maybe wont be as enjoyable (or maybe it is) but it will be healthier and thats why i want to give it a shot.

the experiment will run through saturday *officially*, so only cigar puffing my vape for a week. and if you happen to give a fuck ill post along the way. and for the record im a regular lung hitter right now

tl;dr - gonna see if i can puff on a vape without inhaling and get the same effect/nic dose as lung hits, for a week.

even better, if anyone wants to join and post how its going feel free :D

From what I have heard, most of the nic absorbed by vaping is absorbed through the soft tissues of the mouth to begin with.

exactly everything i know about vaping tells me that inhaling is not necessary and may even be inefficient relative to mouth hits. so im doing this to find out lol

Pretty sure you'll get about the same nic. SNUS originally got me off analogs, and there's nothing to that besides gum absorption.

yea you are right. now about 36 hours in and i cant tell a difference, in fact last night i think i got a minor nicotine overload

the only thing that is different is i can tell the nic takes longer to do what it does. you can feel the nic tingling your mouth as it absorbs, its different for sure. also the psychological part of just not inhaling, but thats expected.

i can already tell i wont have to go the whole week to say confidently inhaling isnt necessary at all (for people that have already quit cigs at least), but ill go at least a few more days just for the fun of it

I inhale because first, it's automatic for me to do so, second it gives me the feeling I get that compares to smoking a cigarette.

im just exploring whats possible with vaping. ill go back to inhaling too but now i can tell people you dont have to inhale to get the nic if you dont want. like people that dip, people with a sore throat, or just people that want to get away from inhaling etc. just a third way to vape and it works just as well.

Actually, there is also a third way of vaping - mouth-only, which accounts for 80-85% of my vaping. I prefer it because I seem to get more flavor that way.

yea that was the point of this experiment/thread to see if mouth only puffs were "wasting" the juice or nic. and they dont

I would have to assume the mouth absorbs nicotine, as another poster pointed out, dip/snus etc... those are addictive, and they never even got "lit". I know as a CIGAR SMOKER which I am, I vape more than I ever smoked cigars. WHY? Because I enjoy it, its convenient for me - I can vape for 2 minutes and stop where a Cigar needs a significant amount of time dedicated to it - to enjoy :)

Yeah I've heard and read this a lot. It seems to not be very important or necessary to inhale it, it's just nice for those quitting analogs or never wanted to give up the whole inhaling aspect of quitting analogs

I smoked two Churchill size cigars per day for almost twenty years NEVER inhaled them and would still get a buzz, especially towards the end.
Now, when I vape I don't lung hit and I still get the same pleasure from the nic.
