Confused by Nic Levels - Total Newb Question ;p

So I read a bunch of "getting started" guides and went through a ton of threads on here and finally placed an order for my supplies I am just confused about the Nicotine base that I ordered.

To start out with I ordered 30 ml bottle of "unflavored liquid" that is a 50/50 mix of 36 mg/ml. The bottle came in and says it has 3.6% Nicotine.

On commercial juice I usually buy 6mg for dripping and 18 mg for using in my clearos.

If I were to just add flavoring straight to this base would the Nic level be only 3% (roughly) so the highest amount I would be able to achieve would be close to 3mg? Or am I way off on this?

Percentage is equal to 10mg/ml - so if you're only adding flavor to 36mg unflavored juice you'll have 30something mg juice (use a calculator like eJuiceMeUp for exact numbers). If you want 18mg juice, you'll have to nearly cut the base in half with pg/VG before accounting for flavors - cut it at 1 part base to 5 parts pg/VG/flavor for 6 mg juice.

OK, so there is 10 percent Nicotine PER ML in the bottle so basically the bottle I have (which is unopened) has 300 ML of Nicotine?

30ml x 36mg per ml = 1080mg of nic in the bottle.

need to dilute it down to 360ml to have 3mg of nic per ml (360x3=1080)
so, overall, you need to add 330ml worth of flavoring and 0 nicotine vg or pg.

Don't let the 3.6% through you, You have 36 mg/ml.
Just enter into the calculator that you have a 50/50 PG/VG base at 36 mg then set the target you want to achieve. Let the calculator do the math.
