Its a Yihi SX130. You can check the version even by holding the fire button while inserting the battery. It'll show you the firmware on the screen.
Excellent, thanks for the info!

Thanks for the info! I am vaping on mine right now and loving it.

I bought the thing for a "Stealth Mod" for use in public but I have not put it down since I got it about 3 weeks ago!

Use it for a stealth mod and general carrying around. It just won't do the .25 coils

I have heard lots of people say the screen reads yihi but im just wondering why Sigelei is claiming that they are using their own chip in the mini. any idea why sigelei would lie about this, especially when they made the device capable of reading the chip?... just wondering. my sigelei mini is on its way now, cant wait.

I just checked mine (I have not had it turned off from the moment I got it:D) and when you turn it on, the screen clearly reads "Sigelei".

And I am sure you will love yours!

hey uncle rj! well i may be wrong, i dont even have the mod yet, but based on reviews i have watched on youtube it will say sigelei when you turn the mod on. but when you turn it on and it says sigelei, it isnt reading the chip at that time, rather it is just displaying the product name. according to other reviews ive watched/read, and according to another poster on this thread, to make the device read the chip you have to hit the fire button while inserting the battery and then it says yihi...or at least the ones i have seen do.

is this what you mean? or does yours just say sigelei when you turn the device on? Thanks!

It just says Sigelei when I turn it on.

Perhaps I will try the battery tip but then again perhaps not as I don't want to screw it up.

Regardless it vapes like a champ and I am glad that I purchased it!

You'll be happy with it, they are nice. I've had mine a couple months with no problems. Very nice mod.

That's because you're simply turning it on. Take your battery out, hold the fire button, put the battery back in. Voila, firmware display, just like the IPV Mini does.

FWIW - Yihi makes everyones chips over there, long before the SX series came out. The Sigelei Zmax and Tmax, the Smok Zmax and SID, Vamos, etc all have em..

It displays SIGELEI when you turn it on because that is what it is told in the firmware to display.

My understanding and experience with all the devices I own that have Yihi chips is that the "hold the fire button while inserting the battery" procedure works with all of Yihi's chips. It doesn't damage anything and it makes it so I don't have to remember or look up what chip a device uses when someone asks or I am looking at purchasing a mod and want to know if it has the same chip as one of my other devices. LOL.
