What's up VU, just curious as to what you have gotten your prices down to for a 30ml bottle of juice? Do you order in bulk for flavors, or in 15ml bottles. I would like to compare to see if I can get my cost down much more. I currently order 1 gallon of PG and 1 Gallon of VG, 120ml nic @ 100mg/ml, and my flavorings in 4oz bottles. If I did the math right, I can make around 190 30ml bottles with a gallon of VG (I use 75/25 and 80/20 blends) and I can get around 50 30ml batches from the flavors I ordered, while still having flavors for other batches. So I think I figured it out to around .92 cents per 30ml today, plus about .80 cents per glass dropper bottle. So for 1 bottle it costs me about 1.72 (prices vary 1-3 cents per DIY juice. Let me know where you're at and where I can cut cost. Thanks

The EZ Mix calculator does cost. http://www.vitalsparks.com/ez-mix.html If that helps.

I do 4oz flavors and bought a one liter 100mg nic and I bought liters of PG/VG. I only did costs on a couple recipes but one that I remember off the top of my head is .63 cents for 30ml not including bottles. Others were around there, maybe a few cents more. I try to save shipping by spending enough to get free shipping. Being a farm boy, I already had syringes and had saved vendor juice bottles.

I just think smart shopping, buying bulk, and staying away from "this is the best" type hype is the key, especially with nic.

If you spend around $150 up front, you can make gallons. For $150, you could get 1 liter or 100mg nic, 2 gallons of vg, and a ton of flavorings. And, its nice knowing whats in your juice, and not wondering if the bad shit is in there.

Thats where im at now, 150 for 50 bottles, 2 gallons of vg/pg and 7 total flavorings at 4oz each. I already have quite a bit of nic. Maybe soon I'll start buying 16 oz of flavorings instead of 4oz

I ran some numbers the other day and came in right around 95 cents for 30 ml, using smaller flavor bottles and mostly FA flavors (expensive) but only about 3mg nic (cheap, but I use VT/NN, which = expensive) - so I'd say you're in the ballpark...

So, here's an impressive but slightly off topic number. 10.5 cents.

I only vape 5ml a day. The juice I'm vaping right now comes to .63 cents for 30ml. That comes to 10.5 cents a day. Somewhat better than the $5 a day I was going through with cigs.

You're DIYing flavors I assume you like for under $1 per 30ml (excluding the infinitely-reusable glass dropper bottle) - that sounds pretty good. You think it's too much? How many ml do you vape in a day?

DIY is stupid cheap to do, if you are committed.

Personally, I don't care about the prices anymore. No one local will sell anything vapeable for 5 times what it costs me to make juice.

Totally agree, and I think it more like 10 times for cheap unvapeable crap. To the OP; you could vape unflavored and store it in tupperware if you're concerned that your current setup is too expensive. :p

I dont think its too expensive at all. I love it. A month ago i was making it for 2.84/30ml and just did more research and bought in bulk. I was curious to see how i was doing compared to others and what the lowest diy mixer was at

Nothing wrong with that. It's a valid discussion.

Personally, I think people poo pooing somebody getting the best cost for their money is a bit,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,silly.

Using your costs a month ago, 2.84/30ml compared to the cost I'm currently at, .63/30ml and vaping my measly 5ml/day, the difference is $134.44 a year. That's substantial, for me. It amounts to a ton of hay to feed my main hobby. ;)

I wasn't shitting on the discussion. Making the point, I don't even care anymore what it costs me, because it's SO CHEAP.

I was paying a buck a mil when I started vaping. Now I pay cents. I don't even count my bottle costs, because they will last forever. Refill them a zillion times before they break or the top is junk.

From when i started DIY i was at $2.47 per 30ml that was for my 15mg nic juice. now im down to 6mg nic my cost went down to $1.03 per 30ml.. It all comes down to if you want complex juice or a single flavored juice thats where the $ difference comes into play. alot of people i know, these days who does DIY it a Hobby as ik im an DIY juice enthusiast ;)

I have my calculator inventory current with the prices I paid (all sample and 10ml size flavorings). I do not account for shipping but I usally hit the free-ship mark when I shop so that's not significant. Switching to VT nic made the cost of a 30ml batch go up 3 cents from ECX nic, which is no longer available in bulk anyhow.

Cost of 30ml batch, 4mg nic, 7% FA flavors, various vendors: $1.15
Same base, 30ml, 15% Capella from ECX: $1.40
Same base, 30ml, 20% TPA from WizLabs: $1.59

These typical recipe scenarios for me range from $0.038 and $0.053 per ml. This is the base cost of juice only assuming 4mg, no shipping, shopping at BCV, ECX, MamaJ, WL, ELM, no bulk rates. My VG is Essential Depot from Amazon.

Upping the nic to 12mg for 30ml costs me about $0.50 more
