Clouds are for show, Flavor IS the dough (thanks RIP). Why vape huge clouds if it tastes like monkey ass? What is the best ratio for flavor? VG/PG---60/40, 70/30, 80/20...Straight PG? Everyone says PG carries flavor better than VG. I have pre-made 50/50 I vaped without any flavor (suggested on this site). Seems ok, but a little chemically. Or maybe it's TFA (I doubt it) I'm using. Baths, steeping, breathing- I do to all and still garbage.
Help please...thanks.

What are you mixing? What % ?

I vape 80/20, but mainly because I have a sensitivity to VG any higher than that. I'm definitely in for the flavor. I mainly use FA flavorings, but I also like INW, TFA and Caps, a few other straggglers, too.

Don't know if I'm VG intolerant. I see many raves about FA, especially from fans of HIC. Need to get separate PG/VG I think.
Thanks Huck !

Do they taste too strong to you? Perfumey? Weak?

I have the FA Hazelnut. Really strong one. Caps Vanilla Custard. I hope someone that has mixed with those 2 pops in. I don't know how much help I'd be with no experience with those.

OK, appreciate the feedback on flavors. Maybe I should have stated my question more specifically- Are all PG/VG bases created equally ? Does it matter in the end product?

Ah. Well, yeah. I've had some gnarly tasting PG before. I've liked what I've gotten from Bull City Vapor and Vaperstek. Didn't care for either that I got from WL, but it's been a while since I bought from them. A lot of folks buy from Essential Depot direct or from Amazon.

The difference between monkey ass clouds and flavortown is imho more dependent on your hardware than PG/VG % The taste of either isn't completely transparent, and the feel is very different.

For me, there's a lung feel I prefer when there are clouds. My sweet spot is when I'm almost holding back a cough from the feeling of VG moisture and flavor density, during the biggest possible rip I can. More or less like a tournament bong rip. Vapor is cool on my face and feels awesome. I don't have hardly any friends so there's no one to show lol. Not every toot is that big but if my gear can't handle that, I get anxious. If there's too much PG and it's hard not to cough @ full inhale, it's ok but not preferable. With my setup and anatomy, that's about 85% VG if the recipe allows.

After upgrading my hardware to "cloud status", my juice consumption went up about 150%. More juice and everything in it per toot. I think devices with restricted airflow benefit from high PG and strong flavoring, as the mouth to lung technique is kind of inevitable unless one likes slow lung inhales (annoying imo).

(Fast forward using Ego products for 2 years) I have 7 RDAs, 3 gauges of wire (even more coil options), and 5 wick types, with only one setup I've found to be both flavorful and billowing. Cloudy builds are easy, finding flavor was a journey. Didn't mean to rant about this so stopping now :p

I get the Chemical bit from the PG more than the VG...
When vaping unflavored that is.
Flavoring helps to cover this up somewhat:D.

Also I got my nic and base from bull city because people say they are the best if some one can help with my questions Id apreciate it because I'm ordering new flavors sat and need some perspective thanks

TFA and Capella's flavorings are popular - both are good. I use mainly Flavor Arts now, because as a whole I prefer them - but I still use a few from the other compaines. Bull City has excellent products, and they also sell all those flavorings!

Thanks Laugh...I'm all about flavor. Big clouds are nice though. I have read that a higher pg ratio (50/50) is better for flavor because pg transfers flavor better than vg. But like I said, this is only what I've read. At this time, I only have pre-mixed 50/50. Need to get them separate for more diversity.

I contacted Bull City about their larger bottles of FA flavors for true authenticity because they state the 10 ml bottles are "original bottles". Guess I'm being a little skeptical about larger quantities. They responded lightning fast assuring me that all their FA flavors are true FA. I also notice they have hard to get flavors in stock that are hard to find because of popularity-i.e vienna cream, tiramisu and catalan cream. I agree with many posters that taste is subjective. TFA orange mandarin is brutal to me. To each his own.
Thanks Amanda...

The only difference between the 10ml original bottles and the larger ones is that the 10ml bottles are packaged in Italy by FlavourArt whereas the larger bottles are packaged (re-bottled) here but the flavoring itself is the same.

Yep, that's exactly what they told me.
Thanks Roundhouse !
