I don't think they are making their own batteries - they are either rewrapped or being made for them. Id like to know who is doing it.

A question I'd like answered as well.
This battery is kind of fascinating. It's ICR and not IMR which is how they can get away with better specs than a VTC4, that's nothing new it's just generally unsafe. But they say "Aspire has developed a new Solid Solution technology by mixing the high capacity characteristics of the Li-ion chemistry [cobalt based] cells, and high safety of the LiMn2O4 [manganese based] Lithium based batteries.". That sounds similar to what Samsung did, at least in marketing speak, and it's working for Samsung. And they are very transparent with their testing and internal documents, there's way more info there than manufacturer's typically give out. It's not a rewrap, it's clear from their test report that it's made in China to their specs.
Also being 1800mAh their claims are possible.
I'm tempted to get some samples to see how they do.

Have a search around on Google, can't remember the forum, might have been ecf... Anyway, a seemingly respected member tested a couple and they both vented at 30A.
His conclusion was that they are a 15A battery, maybe able to push them to 20A if kept cool/well ventilated.
Personally I'd stay away. The nearest similar battery would be an LG HB6, 1500mAh and a true 30A continuous, all day every day.

By the way, the LG HB6 is discontinued.

Really? Ordered a pair the other day. I've just increased the order to 8 cells. That should last me a good long time with 14 cells total, the 6 I currently have being on about 80 recharge cycles.
The ones I have shouldnt be in bad condition as they're charged as soon as resting voltage gets to 3.5-3.6V.

Yeah I'm being told the HB6 is discontinued. They could always bring it back, sometimes that happens especially with LG, but at the moment they're unavailable. This just happened recently though so I'm sure many places still have fresh stock so I wouldn't worry but yeah you may want to stock up if you really like them. We don't have any FYI.

Look forward to reading them. The Sammy and LG 20A 3000mAh look good in theory especially for regulated devices but it's always nice to see actual discharge graphs.

100% agree. I have high hopes, but always like looking at known facts. Come on battery gods, Jonny needs an upgrade.
