Good afternoon Family
It's a black day here today, just found out this mornin that Jean hasta have surgery and she won't have any part of it:facepalm: (honestly I don't blame her but it needs to be done). They need to take a section of her colon out and try to re-splice it:(. With all the errors at the hospitals here (by the way if you are ever in Peoria Il. be sure not to get hurt or sick) and the shear lack of CLEANLINESS, one could go in for one thing and come out 3 months later with a series of infections and diseases. They did that to my brother, went in for an operation that they said he'd be there for 4 days and he got out 78 days later after 3 botched surgeries and a forth that was questionable. He died shortly after.
I hope everyone is well and havin a good day:)

I just don't know what to say except to wish you peace and many blessings. I think those are the things that will best serve you both at this time.

@Jimi, you and Jean have been through more than anyone should have to go through. Prayers for both of you and hoping the docs get it right this time.

So 4 guys decide to start a band. Nothing new.
But there were some contracts to be filled, so they decided they would do the dates. They would be known as The New Yardbirds.
On Aug. 12, 1968, John Bonham, John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page & Robert Plant met each other for the first time for a rehearsal. The first song they played was “Train Kept A-Rollin’”.
Here is what the 4 guys remember of that day:
John Paul Jones: "We first played together in a small room on Gerrard Street, a basement room, which is now Chinatown. There was just wall-to-wall amplifiers, and a space for the door - and that was it. Literally, it was everyone looking at each other - 'what shall we play?' Me doing more sessions, didn't know anything at all. There was an old Yardbirds' number called Train Kept a Rollin'... The whole room just exploded."
Robert Plant: "I remember the little room, all I can remember it was hot and it sounded good – very exciting and very challenging really, because I could feel that something was happening to myself and to everyone else in the room. It felt like we’d found something that we had to be very careful with because we might lose it, but it was remarkable: the power.”
Jimmy Page: "At the end, we knew that it was really happening, really electrifying. Exciting is the word. We went from there to start rehearsals for the album.”
John Bonham: “We had a good play that day and it went quite well. Even the first time we’d played together, there’s a feeling when you’re playing whether it’s going to be any good, and it was good – very good indeed. But at that time I had no idea it would achieve what it has.”
They had no idea of what they started.
By the way, the name of the band, The New Yardbirds was soon changed to Led Zeppelin. It is commonly understood that the name was not so much suggested by, but was more of a friendly insult by Keith Moon of The Who.
So, we guess it is only proper to say Happy 55th Birthday to Led Zeppelin!!
