i had a tear in my efest 2100mah 30A (i assumed was a re-wraped lg) but when unwraped the battery markings were... SE US18650VTC4 C4 G192443VL25D
first efest i have had to re-wrap it was bought from torchy, a well trusted battery seller, 6 months ago.
i havnt heard of anyone saying their efest was a sony before?

We've all know this. These are the old Efest batteries. They're also B or C-bin batteries that Sony wasn't going to wrap and send off because they didn't pass muster. I wouldn't use an Efest battery if it was the last battery on Earth.

Everyone knocks eFest batteries. I don't see what the issue is I have a couple in rotation and they work well.

Yes, but Efest lies about the specs. The average person who doesn't go do his research and just takes the battery at its word won't know that. It's a recipe for bad press and injuries.

iv checked a few more efests i bought a few months ago and they are all sony vtc4 .
it is bad that efest seem to be random re-wraps, with 30A on the wraper.
seems vtc4 and 5s are now mostly fakes. maybe i will just stick to smasung 25r, until somone exposes their problems.

However, you can still get legitimate 30 amp batteries in the form of the VTC 4 from lightingvapes and liionwholesales.

So bottom line guys, if I want genuine 30amp batteries now and tomorrow, who do I trust? (Brand and vendor)

VTC3 or VTC4 are the only 30 amp batteries I know of in existence - 1600 mah vs. 2100 mah is the difference, so I'd go for the 4s...

Picked up 4 vtc4 batts from lightningvapes last week. Good price, quick shipping. Theyre the real deal too. Havent flinched at some of my super sub ohm builds. At 2100mah they dont last long doing these builds though. My lg he series batts get warm quick even at .22ohm. Probly gonna pick up another 4 this week. They also carry vtc3 for cheaper but at 1600mah not quite worth it imo.

0.22 ohms is right at 20 amps on a full charge so, yes, you have them maxed the fuck out. And I agree, the VTC3s just aren't worth it.

Not really maxed considering theyre 20a continuous i should be able to hold the trigger endlessly until batt dies out at that resistance, theoretically.

Link? When? Mah rating? This will be a gold mine for any reputable manufacturer willing to take the risk of them falling into the hands of vapers, as we're supposedly persona non grata in the battery world at large...

Pretty weak, but I could still see people going for them just because they'd be new, fresh stock from a reliable manufacturer, and the people who really need the stupid-low builds to enter cloud comps would probably be fine swapping out batteries every dozen or so pulls...

Depends on pulse discharge.
30a will allow about .15ohm resistance.
people dare go lower on vtcs because of the 60a pulse.
i do .1-.12 on my mech on them and they dont flinch. Granted im changing batteries like no ones business.

True they don't last long in a mech but I still use and love my VTC 3's Don't quote me but if I remember right because they are what they are they have a slighty lower internal resistance than their vtc 4 brothers and even though I loose a few drags per battery...if I am sitting around the house what does it matter if I only get 20 puffs instead of 25? I have a pair I use in my Segelei 150 because I wanted to see if there was a power difference between 20, 25, and 30 amp continuous drain rated batteries...not how long they last but if the chip "stepped down" at high wattage to see if it could tell between the batteries....so far I haven't noticed a difference but I haven't built a coil I liked at above 110 and I actually get a good half a day out of them in the Segelei...a full day if I'm vaping light :) I've got a pair of VTC 3's for my 30 amps, LG HB2's for my 25's, and Samsung 25R's for my 20 amp continuous batteries....so far at 110 they're all "feeling" like it's putting out the same...if I can't get to 150 with all of them or I feel like there's a difference like the chip "downsteps" because it thinks the batteries can't keep up I'll be sure to let everyone know.

As for efests....well....I've got nothing against them....I would just rather buy an authentic brand name battery for a buck more than buy a purple wrapper and see what "surprise" I get under the wrapper :)

Correct, the VTC3 is just as good or better than the VTC4, just doesn't last as long. We actually have them on clearance on our site, it's always surprised me that more of the people on a budget don't get the vtc3s
