Chest sore from dripping. Don't really know what to do. Using a 1.5 ohm coil at 25 to 35 watts. I am using the large tip and wonder if the smaller one would make a difference. Is this just a passing thing?

It may not even be that, it could also be a reaction to Mg-strength the of Nic...even a reaction to the VG or PG, how long have you been vaping?

LET your body recover some before vaping again
You might have to experiment some to determine the cause. LESS OR MORE VG, PG. Less nic like Whiskey suggests

Don't take huge hits.
It's only a cloud comp if you are at a cloud comp.

I used to have sore chest from chain vaping with a dripper, until I switched to a temperature control mod. See here.

YES, Do this ^^^ I talked so much shit about temp control until I used it.
Now I understand that it helps take a lot of unknowns out of vaping.
Formaldehyde? You can only turn it to 600 degrees - You can not form Formaldehyde at that low of a temp.
Burnt hits ----> Just don't happen anymore.

Thanks all. Just got my sig 150 and made my first good juice from HIC. I have been using it ALOT. Only doing 2.5 nic. I will back off. Gives me time to make me juice. Using 80/20 vg/pg.

I vape a 1.5 ohm coil at 5.5 watts = 2.9 volts. I use 9mg nicotine. Easy vape, no problem. Not sure about your high watts. Burned hits? Dry coil? Yes, and there is the nicotine level to consider...

Another possibility is that you're running your coil dry by hitting on it constantly and not giving the wick a chance to suck up more juice...

Another part could be the VG. I was running MAX VG for a while, then I started noticing a tightening in my chest! I've since backed back down to 70vg/30pg or even 50/50 I'm MUCH better *at least for me*!!!

Nice! I am vaping MBV Dream Tea at 4.5 watts at 0.5 ohms (1.6v) right now. If I crank it up some, the juice will caramelize and lose flavor. I got to tell you that at 4.5 watts, the coil(s) and wicking stays super clean. And battery life, unbelievable. Only some juices vape well at low wattages. Some won't do anything this low.

I lowered to 15 watts, put the smaller tip on and changed how I vaped it. The issue seems to be resolving. I do agree with watts and some juices. One is better at bigger watts but just fine at 15. No big deal. Still in the learning curve. I was having dry hit issues but have learned he to tell before it starts and have slowed slowed down. Thanks everyone.

I agree. If I vape high VG I feel as if I'm getting bronchitis (I don't, but I cough up a lung!).

When did OP quit smoking?
Did OP quit smoking?
Did OP ever smoke?

We should start there.

I quit in 1992. Started vaping 18 mg 12 months ago and cut down to 6 or less. It isn't that. I will cut vg. PG gives me no issues.

So let me sure I understand right: you managed to stay off cigarettes for 22 years, and then you started vaping?

Sure, why not. I quit vaping and started back, too. Stress is a killer.

Another consideration: when vaping, drink plenty of water. Water goes well with vaping, and... (okay, so maybe I don't understand the "why", but I drink plenty of water, anyway--just because RIP Trippers said it's a good idea)...
