1st Box Mod build

My first build, so don't laugh ! Slightly smaller than a hammond 1590g box

CNC billet aluminum box (perfectly square. no lean)
n52 magnets on door
Mosfet
Fatdaddy 510
Snortin boar battery sled
PV6 LED fire button
14 gauge solid core wire for + & -
16 gauge stranded for mosfet gate & drain
Parallel batteries

The one wire that looks really close to the side of the box is actually a few MM away. Just looks close in the pict.
There are a few things I will do different on the next one. Will route the wire's a little different and maybe not use an LED button. Kind of a pain to wire since there isn't much room in the box. The other thing I will do different is center the fire button slightly more. When drilling out the hole, I was worried about being too close to the edge of the box, but will drill closer now that I'm brave(r)!

Next box is the same billet aluminum, but anodized black. Will have a black fire button and a low profile FD 510.

Cheap china cloned VTC4's. Same QR code. Gap near to top is too large. And the wrappers are too glossy...

I do like the box tho!! Nicely done!

Actually those are year old vtc5's. Had them in a Sig 100 I only used a couple times. The wrappers are not glossy, more like satin. That said, Sony quit making all 18650's almost 2 years ago, so they certainly could be copies. Stuck them in there to test. Didn't want to risk screwing up my LG's and Samsung's lol

Was thinking about getting a powder coat gun. I have a spare stand alone oven I could use to cook the parts. This black textured polyester might look nice.

Cool idea. I'd wait til that box get's a little wear and tear first. The fresh metal looks too nice and clean to cover up just yet!

A guy I know makes a few of them in his spare time. No plans to sell them, since I can't get anymore than a few of these boxes. But thanks for the complements !
