Eciggity is doing preorder and silver should be shipping on the 16th. Just got an email that they are doing a one day 25% off everything except sx mods. That would make the ipv4 $72. Thinking about getting one just because. But I already have 2 dna40 devices and an sxmini m

Lol For some things your right. Just like anything else, have to know your prices. It actually makes the IPv4 cheaper though. But I've decided to skip ipv4 right now after seeing more reviews. Especially after seeing the inside.

Since I have to wait what is a good website to get nickel wire. I might as well get everything ready.

You guys see that Aspire's parent company is now making ni200 coils for the Atlantis?

Coming May 12 - 14th and... They are fantasic
Compatible with Atlantis 1, Atlantis 2, Atlantis Mega
Manufacturer: Eigate
Brand: VapeOnly (VAir-T Temperature Control Line)
Resistance: 0.25 ohm
Wicking Material: Organic Cotton
Compatible With: Aspire Atlantis, Atlantis 2, Atlantis Mega

Smok also has a new tank comming out soon for Temp control. should pair nice with iPV4.
I do like the green o-rings.
Smok TCT PRO Tank (Ni-200)

Those coils would be great if they were based on the newer design but for some reason they are using the older design with smaller juice channels and only two air flow holes. Hopefully Aspire will soon be making NI200 mainstream like Kanger does.

I got the .15 nickel coils for my Atlantis from VaporShark... Still unsure about using Joules mode on my IPV4..
I mean like it really doesn't vape as well as the stock .5 coil in power mode.
I think to really see if TC truly makes for a better vape I'm gonna have to build one of my RDA's with nickel wire..time will tell if I like it better..

Haven't tried the Atlantis coils but the kanger ones are really good. TC mode is a little different type of vaping. You will get a different experience than in power mode. Biggest benefit is no dry hits. Your not going to get a subohm experience on it though

Build an RDA. That's all I've used, I can't see it being a huge benefit with a well built and wicked tank. For an RDA, though, I have two built, and once you dial in the settings, you can get a nice warm vape, good flavor, and no dry hits. It's weird, but cool. I can vape my RDA dry as hell, and switch flavors. You get more out of each dripper full, and no dry hits is huge. I like mindlessly vaping my RDA without having to be careful of dry hits. Warmth and vapor just start dropping off, then you get cut off. You can keep vaping a bit to really dry your wicking with no burning.

I like it when it's working well. I have been vaping it solely in TC aside from testing power mode, and some attys. it seems to pack more punch than my other iPV's in power mode. Probably in my head.

Yeah RDAs is absolutely the winner of TC. I'm using it in tanks as well, and I like the re-assurance of not needing to worry about wicking so much. But it's not a must-have in tanks for sure.

In RDAs, it's awesome. In fact for me it's really brought them alive - I used them occasionally pre-TC, but not heavily. My big trouble is I don't have a great sense of taste. I struggle to get a lot of taste out of some juices, and I don't seem to pick up most of the flavour "notes" that other people get. So as a result, I don't seem to get a massive taste explosion out of RDAs. It tastes good, fine. But not massively better than most of my RTAs. As a result, I've not really seen the point - why have the hassle of dripping regularly, and the risk of dry hits, when I don't gain any compensating flavour advantage?

With TC the risk of dry hits at least has gone away, and thus the inconvenience is reduced - I just vape until I get low on vapour, rather than feeling like I need to keep dripping to avoid ruining the cotton. So I have started to experiment more with RDAs, and have started to like them more. And that's where the other benefit of TC you mentioned - vaping cotton clean to quickly change out flavours - has also come in. That's also made it much more convenient.

So I really like TC and for me it's opening new horizons. Or rather, re-introducing me to horizons I already had but hadn't yet taken full advantage of :)

I am still using it a lot in my tanks as well, though. For the wicking benefits I mentioned. And because I don't really notice much of a performance drop-off as others describe: I don't like a really hot vape anyway, so for me a TC vape at 400-430 is plenty warm enough, plenty cloudy enough. So I figure why not have the benefits of TC all the time.

Not to mention that I think it results in slightly less coil gunking - not a vast amount perhaps, but firing at only up to 450-ish has to be of some benefit versus sometimes torching a coil at much higher temps.

I have two Mutations built with Ni200 26ga, 13 wraps on a 3mm diameter. They are metering different, but around .093. My V2 has the triangle grub nuts, but they are way more stable than the V3 with Phillips. The build on the V2 is steadier. It's all about getting the build secure and wicked and tightened up. Temperature of the atty from just handling it, to sitting overnight will change the resistance some, if it's the same atty you can just vape, though. The resistance dropping is the main thing that tripped me up, but I think all is well now. It's nice that all settings are saved through battery changes like the Mini 2.

Coils are huge being non contact and 13 wraps, but they fit in there. I have it at 420 degrees, but for the atty that dropped resistance I had to turn it up to high 400's. I use rayon, which I believe has a bit higher combustion temperature than cotton. Just mess around, you could probably do a few less wraps. The coils shift easily, it's soft wire, but 26ga I don't find to be as difficult as 30ga Kanthal.

I like what I would assume is a hot vape for most. I stack restrictive O.G. Kayfun drip tips on my RDA's to condense the flavor and heat up my vape. A Mutation delrin drip tip alone is too cool, and very lacking in flavor for me no matter the build, if that gives you an idea of what I vape like. Power I'm running duals around .4, and 55-60 watts. Moral is, It's hot enough to be very pleasing to me with TC, so you can have heat even, and still benefit.

I've definitely noticed that it's not just dry hits, but a consistent temperature that helps. Blasting 60 watts at a dual coil even without dry hits is definitely heating juice up quite a bit. The TC just constantly is pushing and pulling back on the power to not exceed temperature. It's a cleaner taste I think. I'm thinking it might help with some potential issues of juice heating and changing in the safety of flavors being inhaled. Pure speculation.

@TheBloke has helped me in this thread, thanks man, BTW. I associate a lot with his last post. I never liked RDA's until I got my iPV3. I hated having to drip and always taking shorter pulls when I thought I was close to dry. I was Kayfuns all the time. Regulated mods have made me not touch my Kayfuns, and this TC just kinda makes dripping mindless. Aside from over dripping, just vape until you have less flavor and vapor and re drip. As mentioned, keep at it long to dry the wick out. I can get the rayon almost dry essentially, to the point of vaping a light yellow juice until my wick is white again.

If you enjoy RDA's, I'd say use your go to set up, just use the Ni200, and you'll get it down to what works for you. That's what I did, go to atty, and drip tip setup, Ni200 build, and goodness. If you don't like RDA's, a lot about TC might tip the scales and change that.

Long ass post, I do that. Maybe a building thread dedicated to Ni200 and specifically the iPV4 is a good idea. Too much of me and others frustration at vendors and USPS to sift through in here, lol.

No were not man. That's why I made this thread. It's a broad spectrum on updates with shipping, specs, etc.....don't say we're getting sick of it, cause we're not. We all vent here in this thread and trust me I did since April

Dude, not getting sick of the posts, just feel bad for you, man. It's a shitty sort of limbo to be in. I thought I was gonna be fucked for a minute with mine. Hope it comes, at least updates tracking, something. I'd be frustrated as hell. USPS is awful.

It does make me chuckle how varied the topics are in this thread. From vendors and USPS fucking up, to build suggestions, anything iPV4 is probably in here somewhere lol. Good thread.

Thanks for the support, I am trying to keep calm about it, but damn so frustrating after waiting so long for this mod to be released, and then cancelled my china order to get it faster, and now it is in the USPS black hole, right now I just want to see some sort of tracking update, to know it is not lost.

I am going to give it till Friday and then call my post office, but as was only 1st class shipping, not much can do if it is lost.

Nailz are you on the east coast. I'm in mass and mine did the same thing for like 4 or 5 days and I had priority shipping. Swear they send like 1 jet a week to the east coast holding all the pkgs

We are all from different parts of the country. I'm not sure if your area is highly congested or not. But I truly do hope you get your package soon. Cause I went through hell and back as well for mine.

Me personally being in NJ. Everything gets sent relatively quick for some reason. With the exception for overseas of course lol....

Mine did arrive, and was scanned, but I'm in Denver, and I paid for Priority from Wake and Vape. Mine took a large detour, and it had been raining a lot, and snowed. Was delayed for two days. Don't know about your weather in Kansas. I'm not sure they are required to scan first class at every movement. Just acceptance, out for delivery, and delivered. I may be wrong. Hopefully it will just show up, they're just idiots and lazy and didn't scan it.

Totally random post. Since everyone needs batteries I am posting a great place I just ordered from
http://liionwholesale.com/

They have sony VTC4 for under $9 and Samsung 25r for under $6
All batteries are tested and shipping is a lil over $2
Sorry now back to the IPV4 talk
When my b&m runs out I get from there. Awesome place for batteries especially the "ipv4" lol....

Bookmarked, I'm assuming they're legit if you're confident in recommending them, lol. Even with shipping they're a couple bucks cheaper than my go to, also recommended by a VU member. I'm picky about ordering batteries.

I feel your pain. I have had worse though. I had a two day priority insured package fall in the crack one time and it took multiple calls with usps Consumer Affairs and by the time it was said and done it took 15 days to get here. The worst part was it was a trade and my end got to TX in 2 days.

My VS order never came either but it did get worked out. Turns out there was a mistake on their end and it was never actually sent. The gave me a 2 day UPS tracking # and a refund for a pack of ni-200 Atlantis coils. At least UPS is a bit more reliable and it is on its way finally.

Good to know. GenuineCells store on ebay is legit, too. I just looked, and they've dropped their prices. About the same as the other site. I've always used them.

And man, I can't support B&Ms for batteries. Mine charge $15 a piece. That's just wrong. Some things, I'll do, not double the price, though. I got my Ni200 at a B&M I like, cheaper than I expected, so I gave some recent support.

Respect man. I buy what I can if it's a similar price, or if I need it in a pinch. My favorite local shop just re did their website, and I was in there, and they said they actually charge online prices in store. Most places around me charge $40 or more for clone RDA's, and these guys are being legit. A bit of a markup on their prices is probably there, but it's refreshing, since so many B&Ms just flat out rob people. I've been in some bad shops.

You guys are lucky if you have BM's that you can buy stuff at my local is just crazy stupid. I mean like $90 for a IStick 50. Not that I would buy 1 no matter what the price
Trust me I hear you both. I would never buy anything major. If me buying a couple batteries here and there keeps my brick in business I'm happy. I really wanna buy a potzbox from them lol....
