Every forum out there has inflated membership rolls - tons of people come to just ask a question or two and disappear, lurk but never contribute, or come on to spam - I'd guess that at best a third of our members have ever contributed meaningfully. That number would probably be even lower at places like ECF that have been around a long time and banned...err, "moved on" so many actual posters.
