Graham Reynolds is an Austin composer/arranger who jumps from movie soundtrack music to pop/rock to jazz, like a mad tumbler. His movie music credits include "Evel Knievel vs. Godzilla" and "A Scanner Darkly" among many others.
The CD I'm posting this song from, "Duke, three portraits of Ellington" has all kinds of styles within a style. It's amazing, and so is Reynolds. He's the pianist on this too.

Odd wave length that. I had never seen Slaughter, the music band. Always heard them different times. imho, they seem quite a group we used to call "pretty boy" bands. They're just so clean to look at, yet push hard to "come over" as "oh so tough, rugged". *smh* Not sure why I never saw the group, one of those I heard as background/ers.

Funny story on that on. Used to ride the short bus to school. We hauled a few in wheelchairs. One of the guys invited the driver to a concert for a Mr. Clapton. The driver was all amped the next day, She was singing, "Okay!". All of us on the bus shook our heads, chuckled, ... "The lyric is *******!" the driver went all red-faced. "My Gosh, I had no idea!" We laughed all day.
