This song comforts me as we slide down the slope to global destruction with multiple war fronts, sabre rattling, schemes, greed, money laundering, unfortunately a song as relevant as it ever was.

Every day I wonder what this world would be like if we lived naturally, without always wanting to rule others, conquer others, take from everyone. Maybe there is no "natural", and it's always kill or be killed, take or be robbed, conquer or be conquered.

She passed away soon after this CD was released in 2014.

I saw her speak at a luncheon a few years before that. She really was a great speaker. I remember her telling of being a too tall adolescent child, seated while her grandmother stood behind her, fixing her hair. Maya complained of her too tall stature, and her grandma said "but my dear, one day you will need to be tall, to be seen across large rooms of people who are there to listen to you speak".

Guess I need to go do some vape maintenance, finally pulled one of my Coppervapes out of storage, can't get it to fire. :mad: Tested atty with ohm meter so that's not the problem, good batt, so time to clean contact surfaces and possibly play with the spring under the button. Nice thing about mechs I guess, at least I know it isn't the board.:giggle:

I could just pull out one of the other handful I own, but that would be too easy. :cool:

Okay guys, here is princess pussycat, or maybe queen pussycat, with those jowls coming down.

I've always wanted a tiara, but once I got this home and tried it on, I felt it looks more like Mickey Mouse ears, or a cat yalmuka. Anyway, it fits on with combs, so I hope it won't tear out my hair. And with the mask and the yalmuka, I have three sets of ears, counting my real ones.

I'm leaving now, to help the party host with cooking and preparations.

I'll be so sorry when Halloween is over. I like it better than Christmas honestly.
