That'd be awesome. You could probably find a way to use the screen but I'm not at all sure what kind of programming would be required for that.

I saw her review on that NES controller a while ago and was thinking what else could be used. My son has got an old gameboy he bought cheap and doesn't use I'm going to ask him nicely if I can borrow it forever lol.

Even just using the cutout where screen is and putting another screen in with batt power ohms watts volts. Or just use it unregulated and have screen light up or something. I'm surprised nobody done this already I shoulda kept quiet damn.

One day I will start making my own mods. And that would be something I would do!

There's loads of things that could be turned into mods I like the retro stuff being nearly 40.
Years old.lol.

Yes I am into collecting retro gaming stuff. I have a ton of gaming systems and games from nes up to current stuff.

Yea I know i was talking about the nes controller. I would use the gameboy color or pocket. The first gameboy is to big.

saw a guy at a vape meet a few months ago that had an NES controller mod.
I still have 2 original NES controllers and pondered about making mods from one or both of them

I also still have my *original* gameboy that I got as a present when it came out in 1989. I've been thinking about making a mod out of it, but, it kind of has sentimental value since I've had it since I was 9 and it actually still works. If I make it into a mod, I was hoping to use the buttons on it as the buttons for the mod and it's easily big enough to use for a quad battery mod.

For a size comparison:
18650 batts, my sig 100 watt with yep RDA, and a battery box.

Yea the original gameboy is huge. That's why if I did it I would go with the color or pocket one. You can buy the original gameboy online, yard sales and flea markets for pretty cheap. So you don't have to use yours.

There's been a few of these sold on eBay, so folks are doing it. I know the ones I saw they used the controller buttons for all the controls, so it is possible. The only mod I've considered buying for the cool Retro factor. A wrap just wouldn't be the same.

I've seen some mods with huge screens that would probably fit the OG Game Boy screen cutout nicely...and if you could stuff four 18650s or a pair of 26650s inside there'd be less worry about the screen sucking all the power from the mod.
