Okay, so I started vaping about a month ago on my Ego One and love it for every day use at work and such. But I want something different for at home and what not. I think it is time to get a VV or VW mod. I was looking at a couple different ones; the Apollo v3.0, the Innokin SVD 2.0, and the Innokin 134 Mini. I wanted to get a few opinions from those who have used them or have them.

Innokin makes great products but personally I would look into a dna 30 device that will fire something sub ohm should you desire to go that route. are you set on a tube mod or would you consider a box mod?

I'd rather have a tube mainly because they're usually easier to fit into my pocket. My dad has the Innokin VTR and it's too big and square for my taste.

But what I like about my Ego One is the way it pulls and feels. I use the 1.0 ohm atomizer so I like around that resistance. Tried the 0.5 ohm one, didn't go very well.

What I don't like is that the tank isn't clear all around, so that makes it difficult to tell when it needs to be cleaned. And i wish it used a different battery system like the ones where you just pop a battery into the housing. With that, you have to charge these batteries one at a time or if you have multiple chargers.

All in all I want something better build quality.

If you are looking for a lower watt tube that is quality why not a Provari 2.5 or maybe the Provari classic 2015?

The Apollo mod seems over priced, the 134 is old tech and the SVD 2.0 might just be the ticket for you.

My favorite regulated tube is the Mark Bugs WAEII dna30 but you might not want that power and the price.

I was asking my questions to see if you needed more power and lower ohms coming off the Ego One but it seems like you know what you are looking for.

I'd go with something that will last for when you get more experienced in vaping. My picks by price (lowest to highest) are:

• JoyeTech Ego One 1100 mAh
http://www.vapordna.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=ASB111

• JoyeTech Ego One 2200 mAh
http://www.vapordna.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=JEO001

• Innokin MVP 3.0
http://www.vapordna.com/iTaste-MVP-3-0-by-Innokin-Multiple-Colors-p/ink002.htm

• IPV Mini 2
http://www.vapordna.com/Black-iPV-Mini-2-70-Watts-Mod-by-Pioneer4you-p/ipvm04.htm

• MVP 3.0 Pro Starter Kit (comes with a tank!)
http://www.vapordna.com/iTaste-MVP-3-0-Pro-Starter-Kit-p/ink003.htm

• VaporShark rDNA40
http://www.vapordna.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=VRDNA1

• HexOhm V2 or V2.1
https://cravingvapor.com/product/hexohm-v2-110-watt-okl-t20/

If you choose anything from VaporDNA, here's a code for $10 off a $35 (or more) purchase:

I second Ficticious Character's vote for a Provari 2.5. If you are staying at 15 watts or less and want a durable mod that will stand the test of time. I know this is opening myself up to being called a fanboy and that they are overpriced, outdated, etc. I would agree if the price wasn't so cheap for a used one and how durable they are. I have seen quite a few really reasonably priced ones for sale on forums lately. I have used the bottom of my V2.0 as a hammer in a pinch. The big pain in the butt that I will mention is that they require button top batteries so keep that in mind, they aren't as readily available as flat tops.

If you aren't really concerned about price and are willing to go with kind of a cross between box/tube, the SX mini seems to get a ton of glowing reviews from everyone that has one. I would love to get an M class one, but don't have the money right now. I just got the IPV4 and love the temp control feature. But if you don't want to mess with or aren't interested in temp control I have also seen several listings for the S class used.

I've never had anything higher than the 1.0 ohm because my Ego One is the first one I've bought besides the crappy Halo I had a while ago.

I have the Ego One XL with the 2200 MaH battery

For a vw tube mod, the Vamo is hard to beat.

And yes, the Innokin VTR is rather bulky and not shirt pocket friendly.

But the Sigelei 30 Watt Mini is a LOT Smaller and is very shirt pocket friendly.

Actually being able to fit in my shirt pocket along with my phone is a major consideration for me when I purchase an APV.

And my Siggy Mini snuggles right in there with room left over.

Damn fanboys lol jk man.

I am no fan boy but I am no Provape hater either.

Like yourself and others mentioned there are other devices I would normally suggest but to fit the wants/needs I stuck with tubes.
The SX M class which is solidly built or a Vapor Shark for its smaller size are both worth suggesting. If it was seriously between the two and I was purchasing one at retail prices it would be the SX for sure. Used is a different variable.

I have the SVD 2.0. I like it and use it weekly. If you can handle the height in 18650 mod it a good device.
pros
Interchangeable 510 and ego top cap.
18650 or 18350 conversion
Solid build

Cons
Tall in both battery configurations. Making it somewhat pocket friendly in 18650 depending on your activity.
Some tanks without extended 510 or adjustable 510 to extend won't operate

I was looking at the SVD at one of my local vape shops and really liked the look of it. Another one of my concerns is what kind of tanks are the best. I've never really used a coil

If pocket friendly is something you want, one thing to consider with a tube mod is the length, you'll have the control head on top of the battery tube. A box is got g to give you girth, putting the controls and chip, next to the battery.

ZI use a vaporshark dna40 for my grab and go, with a small tank or dripper it fits in my shirt pocket at work completely unseen,
That said those run upwards around 140-150$ or theres a vaporshark dna30 around 60-70$ and that guy is tiny, not much bigger than a matchbox car-- but, there are some mods out that are good and less expensive about the same size, the istick30 and sigelei 30w come to mind first.

I would also suggest, making sure you can fire as low as a 0.5ohm atomizers, since it looks like most gear is heading that way.
With vaping you'' wamt to consider what you might want to do in the future as fast as our tech changes.

As for tubes, the svd, is nice if you like the shape, but rather long , the p3 would be ok,(but that's 200$),
The mark bugs like fictitious said, and honestly I can't think of much else with a highly reliable reputation in the world of tubes,

Theres also something like this, its a cframe dna30 with a fairly decent battery life http://www.beyondvape.com/store/var...c-10_60/beyond-vape-solara-dna-30-p-1693.html

That Solara has dropped down to a more decent price. I was looking at it last year and felt it hit the market a bit to late for the price point that it was at before.
Yeah I had the same thought! But for a legit dna30, with 2600mah and spring loaded 510, its a nice deal.... and the form factor, those c-frames are great for boxmod and tube mod fans

I agree about the form factor. I do enjoy a dna 30 and something worth considering imo for the op.

Looks like the Ego 1 is a VV mod, if I'm looking at the right one. The short stubby mod, right? If it's working for you, and you like it, why not buy another for a backup? Too easy to get caught up in "collecting" all the mods. It can't be done.
I like my Provari Mini, but I like your Ego 1 even better because it's shorter, more compact. But I'm sticking with my Provari. I'm done with the pursuit of the next best thing.

Give the Heatvape invader mini a look it's a box bod ,but it's rather small does look almost tubish, has temp control does up to 50 watts and is rather durable. I believe Fictitious Character has it and can Chime in on it.
Durable as hell breaks a freakin vice, As proven here.

Yep, what is your budget?

We should have asked that question first!

And if you decide you want an SVD, I have one (Full Kit) somewhere that I may be persuaded to sell.

Budget would be (hopefully around $100). Tried my old man's iTaste VTR with a 2.1 ohm coil again and decided I don't want a V/V mod. Too much of a pain to try to find the spot you like. I do like my Ego One 1.0 ohm atomizer, but I am finding after I've been vaping more that I want something similiar with a bigger tank and battery. I am still curious about a VW mod, if it works better than a V/V

Try the Kanger subtank plus 7 ml capacity. http://www.vapesupersaver.com/subta...tic-kangertech-7-ml-29-99-with-free-shipping/
for a mod maybe the heatvape invader mini or a newer vamo with sub ohm capabilties.
for a bigger battery tube mod the choices are very limited. the biggest one they make is a 26650 size like the Vamo Babel - 26650 50W
if your looking for just increased battery life you need to research 18650 batteries and get a mod that allows you change batteries

Maybe a Dani (the provari killer).

But if you still like such Ego battery and they are in mine opinion really not bad, but maybe the Smok Emax vv/vw will be something and they are not expensive, for 12,50 dollar you will have one.

Oh, right. I was thinking of the Ego-C Twist, which I have three of. They adjust from 3.2 to 4.8 volts.
take a trip down to your local B&M and browse around try the products and see what works for you. Just make sure you research products before buying,

Actually, the nearest vape store is 300 miles away, so I am a pure internet buyer. I research as well as I can, and read/watch the reviews. However, actually trying it before buying it would be a bonus!
All's well that ends well, though. I found my best setups and have no desire to search further. There are still some juices I would like to try...

you should try your hand at diy. you can get many flavors and see what you like. all you really need is vg, pg, (essentail depot has great prices)
some nic base get mine from myfreedomsmokes.com
and then flavorings the flavor apprentice, capella, flavorwest to name a few.
will save you money in the long run and it's a great learning experience atleast for me it was.

I have some Dark Raz and some Creme de Menth (free sample) DIY flavoring from NicVape, but right now I'm enjoying my Velvet Cloud juices. I have some 70VG/30PG base, plus some 18mg nicotine VG base, so I'm good to go there.
But yeah, I need to be thrifty and DIY. I'll look up the companies your mentioned for flavorings.
BTW in the beginning I soaked spices (cardamom seeds, star anise, cinnamon sticks, allspice berries, clove stems), in base juice which was okay but not near as tasty as store-bought flavorings/juices.

I have a vape shop by my work that I frequent lol I'll probably take a look at the svd and see if I like it. If I decide to buy it, I'll probably use my ego tank til I find a different tank.
