Hi! I just purchased a used paragon mod clone with only the one pin and didn't come with the second longer pin. I haven't attempted to use it yet but will it work? If not where can I get replacement pins? Thanks

Hi....lemme see if I can help...

When you say it only came with "one pin" do you mean it only came with part of the positive contact at the top of the mod? Because it's supposed to have the positive contact that connects to the pin on your atty and then it's supposed to have the positive contact pin that screws into the other contact that you can adjust to make sure it makes a solid connection with the positive on your battery to it won't rattle and fire properly.

is that what you mean? If you can put up a picture that would be a big help....and if that is what you mean than you can probably go to a hobby shop or a home depot or another hardware store and find a small copper or stainless screw that could screw into the positive contact for a few cents to a dollar and fix the problem and then you can make sure you have a screw that fits exactly for your needs

If that is not what you mean then I apologize and please tell me so I can try and help the right way :)

Yeah, I mean I don't see why a hobby shop or a good hardware store wouldn't at the very least have something in stainless steel you could match up to it...don't try and force any screw in there...while you're looking for the right size screw very gently try and thread them in while you're looking for something so you don't cross thread the hole and ruin it but it should be a fairly small spaced screw, like 1 or 1.4 or 1.6....somewhere you should be able to get something that works. That's the only hard part about the whole thing is that the spacing of the threads that screw hole is tapped for is going to be a weird spacing and really small...modders can't seem to use an easy or common size, they always have to make it as difficult as possible but you can find a replacement I am sure...I've done it with mech mods...just takes a little patience....and once you've found something that fits and not the right measurements then you can go online to amazon and try and order a copper or a silver plated copper screw that will work as well if that's what you want and it should still be fairly cheap....cheaper than a new mod for just one part.

But if you bought it new from a store you should talk to them as well and see if they'll exchange it because I think missing hardware new in box would count as a "DOA" item...afterall...it won't function properly without that screw. I would call them tomorrow and ask to make sure they won't before anything else....if you bought it from a friend than happy hunting :)

Did you find a pin that works? I recently dropped my paragon and the threads on the screw got messed up. It still fires and works just fine but I'm getting a lot of battery rattle and it's driving me crazy. I think if I was able to get a new screw it should be fine but thought I'd check if you found something that works. Also, any idea of the size of the pin?
Thanks.
