I know it shows a battery I con that shows the battery level but is there a way to tell me the voltage of the battery? I have a multi meter but dont know how to use it. Which hole does the red or black wire go into and what settings should I set it on? I don't want to damage my batteries.

On this one, it is currently set to 200 volt DC range. This would work. What we really want on this meter is the V - 20 setting. YMMV, and there are many different DVM's out these...

V--- is DC volts
V~ is AC volts
A--- is DC amps
(Ohm symbol) is resistance in ohms.

Look on youtube.
You're more likely to damage meter than batteries.
