Does anyone know about the new eGrip OLED?

Hi, does anyone know about the new eGrip OLED being released overseas? I googled it and I see that they are taking orders for pre-sale. It is supposed to be out the end of April. I haven't seen anything in the US or from Joyetech announcing this. I will have an led display that shows battery status/watts/volt/ohm meter. I think that would be awesome!

Me too. Gonna wait for the price to drop a bit, or find a good deal below $55.

Actually I've just changed my mind, for 2 reasons:

- My current Egrip works fine, and the new one only features an additional screen. I have no issue with the old Egrip's lack of screen.

- From the video I've just watched, the new Egrip OLED's jog dial is quite a bit less convenient than the old Egrip's to select a power level (and I don't care about volts).

So... no, I don't want one after all. I'll be interested when it drops in price considerably, or when yet another version comes out that has temperature control.

@Zamazam, thanks for the update. I did see this and I am so excited :D I have 2 of the first model I use during the day running around. I guess I will be buying 2 new ones and selling 2 old ones, woo hoo!!!

Or goes to 30 watts!

Joyetech USA has them on their site now.
I plan on picking one up as soon as one of my normal venders has them.
It is a dream device for a low watt stealth vaper. There are a lot of us tootle puffers out there.

The screen addresses the egrip’s biggest flaws. Being able to see your battery level and your power level. Hopefully the power level is accurate and not the Istick 20 chip.
Lowering the watt floor from 8 to 5 is a needed improvement. The wimpy stock coils can barely handle 10.

Has anyone used Yetivape regularly? Any feedback would be appreciated. Do they sell authentic Joyetech products?
Thanks!

@ApeMustNotKillVape, I agree with you about it being a dream device for us tootle puffers and I also love the size for stealth vaping. I use the aspire bvc coils, which I like much better than the stock coils, (just swap out the pin from the joyetech and replace it in the aspire bvc.) The bottom doesn't screw on as far but has never leaked. People say using a grip skin will keep it sitting sturdier when sitting. I can't wait to get one especially to see the battery level.

Is it a flaw? I mean, as far as power is concerned, you adjust the old a Egrip between small dot and big dot (in eight steps of dottiness) as opposed to tenths of a Watt. As for battery left, it flashes when it's time to recharge, as opposed to seeing a bargraph. So what? Nobody complained when Egos were all there was and that was all they did...

Maybe you are being sarcastic?
I use my Egrip with RBA set to 8 or 10 daily.
For what I paid, I expect better functionality than an Ego.

Yes they are design flaws.
Even spinners stop at highest and lowest settings.
Low contrast grey dots on chrome is not very helpful if you are trying to lower your setting by taste. Because you are driving or it is dark or you have aging eyesight - 20 is one click away from 8. You are in for an unpleasant surprise.

Battery level is helpful to gauge if you need to plug it in or how much longer it needs to be plugged in.

I've ordered Yeti juice several times. They are a great juice vendor. I haven't done hardware from them, but I wouldn't hesitate.

Use aspire BDC Hack. Better flavor, can run it at 14 watts plus, and the coils are dirt cheap.

Call me easily pleased, but to me, the Egrip *is* an Ego with a slightly higher power output and a great form factor - and the price is what you pay for the convenience of having a matchbox-sized self-contained device instead of a fragile undersized marital aid sort of a device.

The screen is a nicety. Yep, nice to have, but if it comes at the price of an inconvenient jog dial, I'll stick to my display-less version thank you very much.

Seriously, I doubt it.

You know, it's funny, ever since I've found my perfect mods and my perfect atomizers, it's totally killed any shinyitis in me. I see a lot of new hardware coming out that interests me (the SXmini class M, the Chalice 3 atomizer... this new Egrip for instance) and invariably I end up thinking "I want that, but what more would it bring me that I don't already have?" - "Meh, nevermind..."

It's taken me a long time finding my perfect gear, but now I can honestly say that, as long as my gear is in working order, it's fine enough that I don't need nothing else. Really :) It'll take something radically new and exciting to get me to whip out my credit card again. This new improved Egrip ain't it...

I keep my K. subtank, a couple 18650 mech mods with drippers and a Tesla dual reg mod safe in the back of my junk drawer and just run my E-Grip's. I think I'm done mod shopping for a while.

It is too! Let me talk to my wife when she comes back in through here and see if she wants one.

Can't really even put my finger on what bugs me about the big mods. Have not tried Provari's. Kinda got wrapped up in the Kanger line when it comes to tanks.

These E-Grips draw a nice good full reliable vape, all in one tight little palm unit.
Reliable, tough and yet compact. That kinda used to be worth something. IDK

I just find the eGrip to be so easy! You are right... perfect that it is all in one and the size is stealth. I have 2 going all day (2 fav flavors) I did buy the OLED one yesterday, now I'm just waiting for vape mail. It will be nice to know how much battery life I have left.

I do love my Provari's too. I use one with the nautilus tank and one with a carto tank. A much different vape from both but a nice change at the end of the day.

She said she was good on a shirt.

What that means is...You get one and I'll take it over. I'll end up breaking it in and she'll turn into a night shirt.

I got my eGrip OLED today and I love the new upgrades. Adjusting the vv/vw is much easier and more precise, plus seeing the battery level is great! You can also fire a coil down to 0.4 ohm if you are into that. The button is no longer sloppy/rattling.

Wife and I have 2 E-Grips each and 1 backup needing a button still. I emailed Joyetech over a week ago about buying a couple buttons, a pack of 3 even to put back...Nothing.

Emailed (I wanna say) Kanger too over a week ago for a few extra outer screws holding the subtank together...Nothing.

My bad! :D I got off the subject again...The next E-Grip will be these new ones for damn sure. I'll drop one of these old ones out of a tree working or off the bike soon enough.

Or I'll screw around and flush one down the toilet or something stupid before long. I use to kinda give these mods nicnames, now they're all just called 'Next' :D

@Hey! it's just Ray... thanks for the t-shirt SHOUT OUT :)

As far as your last post... customer service is not priority for most companies anymore. What a shame, because it really makes a difference.

Let me know when you get the OLED and what you think. As soon as I sell 1 of my old eGrips, I will be getting a second OLED. Its that great!!!

Just received my egip oled from yetivape for 43$ and its pretty good thus far . I am using the aspire bvc coil hack and its a vast improvement over the stock coils... Anyone notice that you cant always top out to 8.4 volts...i have a 1.9 ohm coil and it wont allow me to go past 6.1 volts. It is nice to be able to go past 8 watts on a bvc coil opposed to the stock coil issue ..I havent used the stock coil in v2 yet but in my og egrip I had issues with the higher wattage setting.

I didn't have this isssue with the eGrip v1 or the OLED. I used the 1.6 & 1.8 aspire bvc coils and was vaping at 11 watts or higher.

Right ⬆⬆⬆I just now started to use the bvc coils no issues at higher watts , heck was 19.5 with no burning a moment ago. Was curious with stock on the new device. Guess I will try later. So I guess a different ohm coil would be able to top device out to 8.4 volts?

So is there any difference in the previous version and this new OLED version apart from the display?

I didn't like the stock coils at all. I now use the RBA and that's awesome!

I've had three for several months, and I think I only tried stock coils the first day! The flavor on the rba is awesome - but they're all slightly leaky, no matter how I build. I'm going to try a slightly higher VG mix next time and see if that helps.

I use 20/80vg and I don't get a drop of liquid that comes out but I do get like a condensation spot where it sits. I only got mine Tuesday and did my first re-wick today only because I had to try it and still the same.

I run mine with 50/50, and if they sit for a week they can lose most of the tank, especially if they get warm. I generally take one in my purse, and it doesn't seem to leak there, but sitting seems to be an issue.

I run 80/20 in mine and it vapes great with a 1.2 ohm coil in the RBA Head(v1). The leaking issue is simply solved by taking out the drip tip and turning it upside down when you are not going to use it for a few days. Heat and varying atmospheric pressure are the cause of the leaks.

I use mine pretty much only when I go out - so I tend to just take one with me. When I travel to a conference, I take all three (and nothing else) since I can only grab small hits throughout the day.

I use 2 all day for my 2 favorite flavors. Then at night when I sit down to watch tv and relax then I use my provari's, 1 with a nautilus tank and 1 with a carto tank.
