OK so I've been reading a lot of posts here and other forums regarding the istick and the auto firing, fires, shorting out, not working, and so on. Here's my theory. I'm not saying you, anyone else, your mom, cousin, friend aunt, uncle or whoever is doing something wrong or not taking care of your equipment. But........ When it comes to a device that puts out the amount of power that the istick does and many others there is a margin of error that can be committed. Just like a lot of other things on life they need to be maintained and taken care of. Like a vehicle. If you don't do proper maintenance on it it will for sure fail. Doing as little as taking canned air to the istick like around the igniting button, taking the bottom off and blowing it out. Dust and particles can do a world of damage to it. Cleaning the connection points from liquid or residual liquid or distribution or particles or spit or oil or pocket lint. All these are effected by the performance and liability. I'm not saying that there is no such thing as a faulty device because there are I'm just saying if we all take care of are shit it lessens the chances of anything bad or faulting out. I'm a little OCD and take precautions when charging my device for sure cuz the possibility is there. Just some words of wisdom from my vaped out mind. What got me to write this is that a good friend of kind came over and gave a shit storm of a hard time about owning a istick. Enough said and happy vaping everyone.

Kinda of an inflammatory title, doncha think? I spritz my iStick with electronic cleaner in the switch once a month. Still going strong.

Mine autofired once when a dripper I was using leaked juice into the switch. Simple fix was to blast out the switch with electronic cleaner. Eleaf has been mum on this, but the newer generations don't do it. I know, I tried to get an new one to autofire by dripping some ejuice into the switch. Nope, just a sticky switch afterwards that needed to be cleaned:D

Nice, wonder if there's a way to find out the manufacturing dates on them to single them out.

I'm sure it in the qc code that comes with the mod. You might want to root around reddit and see what you can find.

I got a new one(I think it's new new) as soon as it hit my local shops shelf. Loving it.
