What I am going to PIF is something from one of Vapers United donating vendors.

It can be juice or a starter kit.

Basically what you tell me will make the decision of what it will be.:)

This is for a newbie that is having a rough time getting started or someone in need.

Please do not post if you just want it.

I'm not setting any time limit of this except. It goes until I pick someone.

Now let's get to know each other. :)

jj, you know if I were to win I would PIF it to my son in OH. He works in a factory and shares a two bedroom apartment with his sister. He is new to vaping and since trying my DIY juices wants to DIY himself due to the economics of it.

He doesn't have much. He bought a used original MVP and Kanger Clearomizer from a coworker. When he stopped by where I live in TN on April 16th for a short visit on his way to Atlanta I surprised him with a KBox, Subtank, battery, charger, five extra coils, an extra Youde RDA that I had coiled and wicked for him, a few tools (small screwdrivers and needle nose pliers), some wire, cotton, and 3 bottles of my DIY e-juice. Then he got another 30 mils of e-juice from the Flavor Shack PIF/giveaway that I PIFed to him.

When he got back to OH he sold the MVP and clearomizer to someone else switching to vaping for $5 less than he paid and with extra coils he had bought. Doing a PIF in his own little way. I think the only reason he sold it vs giving it away is because he needed money to replace the power steering pump in his car. He's been working at this factory for five years now without any merit/performance raises. He's now interviewing and drug testing for working for a different employer at a different factory.

Basically he needs everything! To start doing DIY e-liquid he could use a basic kit that has various sizes of syringes, gloves, bottles, nic, PG, VG, flavors, etc. He could use a good tool kit with an atomizer ohm meter, ceramic tweezers, coil jig, etc.

If selected, I will PM you his address so it can be sent directly to him.

What would come in a starter kit? My best friend is trying to quit smoking and he really likes my nemesis. I have a magma rda I'm going to give him if he can get his hands on a mod and batteries.

Im a beginner that still needs a few things to actually get started off. I got a mech mod but still havent been able to afford rda, batteries, charger or juice. Been trying to save up but i end up not having enough to spend and keep maintaining my smoking at 5 bucks a day.

I plan on getting all of this myself at some point, but it would be amazing and so appreciated to get one of these missing pieces. Thank you in general for doing such awesome things for our community!

I have a kanger subtank that i dnt use anymore,I wouldnt mind giving it away to someone in need..I have about 4 or 5 brand new 0.5 ohm coil heads & also the rba section it came with..Honestly,the only thing missing from the subtank is the drip tip.. I knw the feeling about trying to purchase everything at once but something in life always comes up & deters me from buying the stuff i need but someone on this forum was generous to me & I want to do the same..

You don't need a mech mod to quit cigs using e-cigs. My first starter kit was 5 dollars shipped on ebay, it came with a battery, a couple ce5's and a charger. Since your still smoking and buying cigs surely you can afford the 5 dollars for a starter kit. I used these starter kits for months while I learned about mech mods/batteries electrical safety. If you are a beginner and short on cash, I would suggest starting with one of these kits and slowly learn about mechs, battery safety and rebuilding.

Plus if you really wanted to jump into rebuilding you would need a lot more than just a mech, rda, batts, and charger. You need wire, wick, tools, ohm meter/multimeter, etc.

Good advice!!

Starter kits aren't really that expensive and, as said, the way to go until you get an idea what you really want or until you get to the place where you can buy what you really want.

Those starter kits are horribly bad for your health. It was very revealed in MMJ community because we use medicine with them, but it was found to be very dangerous to use Cartomizers. The wick is not cotton, it is silica. And the wiring and put together of those is horrendous with extra solder that you will be inhaling.

Honestly, i already have the mod and all the other things can be found piece by piece. Who cares what I chose to do? I didn't ask for judgement, maybe just a little help.

But I guess people who already have everything they need to vape and have other people buying their stuff already deserve all the PIFing right?

I would be super great duo to potentially get that, I am on the verge of having other things for myself as well but just need a little helping hand.

I have a abused dreadnaught mod and this is my first mod and it needs to put in the mod hospital for 1 striped post melted insulator on center post filed contact for rda hybrid and button was ruber cemented in and it has no spring or plastic cap to keep the button and it gets heat hot and burns I did clean it all with tooth paste to clean the bronze corrosion/build up so it would have less resistance on the button but did not help

but I do love the " one legged mod " as I call it

my maintinace plans are put in a rubber washer to keep battery off the mod right now its a cotton ring
then work out why the button gets hot and how to fix I have been trying to get the button divided and put some thread tape on it to try and see if that helps
I found that generally the button getting hot is cuz the button is not grounded right

If i understand ur post about the button (it being rubber cemented together) u need to unepoxy it get all the rubber cement off if u cant find the replacement parts, redo it with as little epoxy as possible i had to do some tinkering with my hades cuz the negotive connection on the button would unscrew and self fire so i took some teflon tape ( plumbers tape) and used it to take up the space in the threading leaving 2 or 3 threads uncovered and it works fine the first time i did it i didnt realize i covered the entire threading and it wasnt grounding

Another thing that causes the button to over heat is to low of resistance in the coil what ohm r u running with what battery

U need to test it if its 24g wire with 3.0mm inside diameter ur running around.2 ohm, but not knoing the wire gauge the inside diameter and what battery ir running and u not being able to test ur ohm along with the button overheating ur playing a dangerous game u could be running the risk of blowing ur hand up u really need to kno all the proper info and test ur ohm if ur gonna build or even have someone.else build for u

Im not trying to come off as a asshole i just dont want to see u lose fingers in a battery explosion. If ur ohms r to low for ur battery to much power is going back into ur battery which will cause the battery to start overheating it then vents at the button causing the button to over heat and if u push it for to long the battery will explode

That batterys constant amperage is 20 amps so ur lowest ohm resistance is .23 ohm to be safe what inside diameter are ur coils

Ok thanks for the pic my advice is if u have electrical at ur job corps center ask 1 of the guys to test it with a dvom if not try to get ir hands on one set it to volts and test it with that on the coil posts in the mean time id rewrap ur coils 3mm inside diameter 24gauge with 7 wraps not including the leg wraps will bring u to around .32-.35ohms and see if the button still over heats if it does then it is a ground issue as i stated earlier, again i wasnt trying to come off assholish i just imagined fingers blown off and wanted to get to the bottom of it and help prevent it
