This is my best vanilla vape to date. TFA vanilla bean icecream and TFA cheesecake graham crust has changed my life forever. I started with only those two, which is why their percentages are a bit high. After tasting it, it needed to be slightly sweeter, so I added graham cracker and tst marshmallow. A couple days later I put in the vanilla classic and caramel to give it some 'bottom end'.

After being on a vanilla custard expedition that lasted 6 months, I can absolutely say that this flavor destroys all of my caps vanilla custard based mixes.

Paulys vanilla bean cheesecake
TFA cheesecake graham crust 6%
TFA vanilla bean ice cream 4%
TFA toasted marshmallow 1%
TFA graham cracker 1%
FA vanilla classic 1%
FA caramel .5%

I've been thinking lately of going on my own vanilla custard quest!
I'm excited to try this. I have almost all the flavors--everything except TFA cheesecake graham crust. I think I've heard people say it's not quite possible to replicate with a mixture of cheesecake and graham cracker flavors. What do you think? It's worth a shot, anyway, and if it's not the same, I bet it'll still be good. Thanks for sharing this :)

Honestly, in not sure how it would be without the tfa chzcake graham crust. It props up the vanilla bean, but I'm sure there could be substitutes. I'm not sure what flavors you have, but there are a few that could fill its role, especially if you double the tfa graham cracker. Maybe 4%tfa Bavarian cream or 3% caps NY chzcake?
We never know until we try.

This looks interesting, by using a different approach.
I suspect this is a good one.

I've been on a "Custard Mania" quest myself for a couple of months, (CAPs v1).
Got a couple good ones out of maybe 10-12 total.

I've had the Vanilla Bean Ice ream on my want list like forever now.
Only flavor I don't have yet, but need to do another order anyway...
Been trying to use TFA Vanilla Bean Gelato instead, but without much success.
But haven't tried it in this recipe, kinda have my doubts tho.

I wonder what the difference between the 'gelato' and 'ice cream' are?... Maybe less creamy?

It's supposed to be the "safe" version of Vanilla Bean Ice Cream I think.

Oh, BTW, which Graham Cracker was used, Clear, or Dark?
Ran out of the Clear and the TFA Signature Brand from ECX turned out to be the Dark version.
So I gotta order some of the "Clear" now anyway.

I think you're right about Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, Heabob. I think I remember reading a long time ago that VBI was TFA Vanilla Custard flavor without the [some bad ingredient]..diacetyl? And then Vanilla Bean Ice Cream had one more baddie removed.

It's worth checking out on the TFA website. I was going to say, "to find out if they are all three essentially the same flavor"--but then it occurred to me that acetoin, diacetyl and acetyl propiony ARE all flavoring ingredients... so it wouldn't really be accurate to say they are the same flavor. I just sniffed TFA Vanilla Custard and TFA V.B Ice Cream side by side and the VBC actually smells richer to me. Hmm.

The only graham cracker I've used is the dark. Does someone know how it differs from the clear one? Same with the chocolates (tfa)-- there are some with regualr and "clear" versions. Is that only about coils, or is there an important flavor difference?

I used the clear graham cracker, but its only 1%, so im sure its not going to be an earth shattering difference.

So that cheesecake version doesn't taste rancid? Every cheesecake flavoring I've tried tastes like vomit to me. I've been meaning to try that one and the vanilla bean one. (as if I need anymore flavorings :p )

Not to me. The other tfa cheecake is like the top layer of cheese and nothing else, pretty nasty in some cases. The cheesecake graham crust is standardly held as one of the better cheesecake flavors.

I hear you. Still, if anybody's tried both clear and regular and can say whether there's a noticeable difference in flavor, I'd be interested to know. The only comparisons I've found are about how it impacts coils--the dark ones (choc, graham) gum them up faster.

Rin, I know what you mean about cheesecake. I have some FW cheesecake and it has a hint of pukiness to it... some might call that "zesty" :) I can mix it with stuff in small amounts and not notice that aspect anyway. I was just smelling it and noticed that it seems to also have a hint of graham cracker crust in it--maybe it could work as a sub for tfa cheesecake graham in pauly's-vanilla-bean-cheesecake.

Just did a drip taste comparison between the 2, had a couple drops left in my "clear" bottle.
I couldn't tell any difference so I suspect the "dark" may just be food coloring but IDK for sure tho.
I've found the darker ones have a more negative impact on coils too.

Well I'm going to have to mix this up!
I love adding Cap New York Cheesecake and Graham cracker to mixes and am a custardoholic myself.
Cap New York Cheesecake vs TFA Cheesecake Graham crust?
I have Cap, so am quite aware that it isn't actually a Cheesecake flavour, I wonder what the TFA is like?
Thanks for the share.

The only 2 I've ever used are CAP NY Cheesecake & TFA Cheesecake Graham Crust.
They are way different though, and usually if one doesn't work, the other one will, but it depends.
At least different enough that one should have both on hand anyway IMO.
Strange answer I know, but fortunately I don't get the vomit thing.

Iv'e already got so many different Vanillas I just figured the TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream would just be another to add to my collection.
But I'm a "flavor junkie", so I just ordered that one too:D.

Should be good, and probably could use both even...

So I tried a V2 and didnt like it nearly as much. I used 5%chzckegrmcrst, 5%VBIC, 2%Fa butterscotch, 1%graham cracker, 1%vanilla classic,1%tst marshmallow.
I think decreasing the cheesecake also decreased the body of the flavor. Also, increasing the caramel/butterscotch note did not have the desired effects.
My next attempt will be simply replacing the caramel with butterscotch and increasing it from .5-1%, and keeping everything else the same.

Mixed this up tonight, finally got my TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.
Smelled good when I opened the bottle, and the final mix smells good too:D.

Had to try your original recipe as I can't hardly stay away from a good cheesecake vape and I definitely wasn't dissappointed. Shaked and vaped right away and its very very good, I'm going to whip up a larger batch for some extended steep time and see how she does then, I can only imagine it will get better!

This sounds great but (as usual) I'm short a flavor. Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. I have FA Vanilla Bourbon and Classic, TFA Vanilla Swirl and Vanillin. Any ideas on substitutions that might work? Swirl was my first guess but I don't think I've ever actually used it so I don't know what percentage to start at.

Thanks for sharing Pauly!

Id try the same percentage with vanilla swirl. Ive never used it, but im under the assumption that its a similar flavor, regarding strength.
See if it works......

Will do. Thanks. It'll be a day or two before I get to mix it up because I have my first order of Nichrome coming in tomorrow. Will be building coils for a couple days most likely but I'll report back once I give it a try.

In my limited experience with vanilla swirl, I would say that it's pretty similar to VBIC.

According to Mustard Milk (reddit):

Cream Fresh FA .5%
French Vanilla regular TPA 1%
Vanilla Bean Gelato TPA 2%

would be "equal" to VBIC 4% (source uses double to sub for VBIC 8%)

Doesn't make the recipe d-a-a free, but for those who didn't have VBIC... edit: I just whipped up the original to get a clue
