I've been wanting to kick cigs for a while now, but for what seems like endless reasons i cant seem to get enough money together at once to purchase all the stuff i need.... I have been trying to wait patiently over these last 2 months since i decided to vape instead but all i have managed to get my hands on is a mech mod.

At least its a beginning! I am humbly hoping that i could get a little help if someone has some things they dont use anymore or whatever the case might be. even cheap stuff helps. Thanks in advance!

I wish you all the best in quitting your smoking habit and starting vaping. I do need to tell you though, in regards to a post you made in another thread, that silica wick isn't the best, but it's okay to use in vaping. Also, I don't know where you learned that the "wiring in a starter kit is really bad with extra solder that you'll be inhaling..." but that's complete bullshit and whoever wrote that has no idea about vaping. Steer clear of anything they tell you. The wiring part, and the inhaling part are separate. If that came from you MMJ community, they don't know what they're talking about.

The person that you got a little ignorant with was only trying to help you. If you want the community to help you, you need to have some respect in your responses to people. A lot of us are friends and kind of like one big family. Also when someone decides to PIF something, it's completely up to them to decide who to give it to and why. Your little rant trying to make people feel bad for you doesn't speak highly of your character.

Lastly, if you can't come up with the money for a starter kit, why are you in another thread asking for contact info to someone who is selling authentic mods/atty's for $120 and $130?

We get a decent share of new people who come on the forum and see the PIF section and immediately start asking for free stuff. Some people really like to help others, but it's like a job trying to figure out who's stories are legit and who's stories are just bullshit. It just seems strange that you join yesterday, already get shitty with someone who replies to one of your posts, basically complain because you weren't picked for something, then you're off elsewhere asking for contact info for the seller of some really expensive stuff. Then you have a post here asking for some help with some free or cheap stuff.

For anyone who wonders what the hell I'm talking about...

Those starter kits are horribly bad for your health. It was very revealed in MMJ community because we use medicine with them, but it was found to be very dangerous to use Cartomizers. The wick is not cotton, it is silica. And the wiring and put together of those is horrendous with extra solder that you will be inhaling.

Honestly, i already have the mod and all the other things can be found piece by piece. Who cares what I chose to do? I didn't ask for judgement, maybe just a little help.

But I guess people who already have everything they need to vape and have other people buying their stuff already deserve all the PIFing right?

And then there's this here where authentic mods/atty's are being sold for $120-$130...

Look OP, I wish you the best in quitting smoking and taking up vaping if that part of your story was true. I didn't post this to start shit, normally I stay away from things like this. However, I get sick of seeing people take advantage of the nice members we have here who are willing to help people in a time of need. Regarding your original post, my best advice would be to stop trying to save up to get everything at once. Next time you have an extra few $$$ in your pocket, order a battery or two...then the next time get some wick and wire, then the next time get an RBA/RDA...you get the picture. Try getting things little by little since you're not wanting to use a starter kit...it'll be easier then trying to save up and get it all at once.

Having doubts and changing your mind about this kinda situation doesn't make you an asshole, sadly there are a lot of people that join the forum lately and then first post start begging for free gear....really it's all up to you on if you wanna pif it to him still but I myself wouldn't given what we've seen but it's your call. I'm curious how he's gonna use it though since it doesn't even sound like he has batteries or a charger. Idk to me it seems odd that op's "friend gives him just a mech to start with but no gear to go with it.

Hey man, like I said, I have no idea what is true and what isn't. For all I know the guy could be telling the truth and wanting to quit smoking. Could be that he only has an extra $150 a month after paying his bills and shit, and that he uses that to buy his smokes. It's so hard to tell who is telling the truth and who isn't. All I know is that I didn't like the attitude he gave another member when they gave him simple facts. The attitude he gave @jj2 when he wasn't selected for the PIF. I have been warned away from crappy chinese factory made e cigs, which all those start kits are. i just dont want to use them and other people warned me away from them. I just want a cimple cheap clone RDA and im having trouble aqquiring it. i even said i have been trying and havent asked anyone for anything before this

I was simply asking for a little help, and all i can get is accusations and people telling me i am taking advantage.

im not in here demanding mods, im not in here being a dick. im being nice and asked for help humbly. obviously a horrible idea. I didnt spout any ignorant comments, the start kit things are made cheaply and poorly, and its not a risk to my health i am wanting to take. Its random chinese made factory electronics.

ANYTHING Mechanical from them i dont worry as much, but electronics and pre made coils? no i would rather not.

And about the cheap vape pens and shit, yeah there is some products that will just be cheap pieces of shit but you also gotta think about that a lot of the "cheap shit" is then branded with a label and sold at a higher rate in shops. Hell look online at the price of ego twists and vision spinners if you buy em online their like $10 you walk into a shop and for the same product pay $20-$30. As for with the cartos and clearos are you referring to the study where they said that the ce4's gave off flormeldryhyde(however you spell it) and shit like that? If you look at the study the testors pushed them to a way then they are meant to be used and past where anyone would use them. As for batteries for mods, well my advice is never trust anything with the word fire in it lol and buy from trusted reputable vendors when you eventually do order.

Also if your broke and barely scraping by a rda is the last thing you want as they eat juice quicker than a fat chick in a free all you can eat buffet. I've been on a budget scraping by so believe me I understand

Normally we aren't the up in arms type dude(you think we jumped your shit try going on ECF and take a look around) just cautious and sometimes a bit apprehensive with situations like this.. Take a look through the pif section and go back through it and you'll see what I mean.

As for the local shop that charges to even try juice fuck em they ain't worth it. Ask around your local vape community talk to people and you'll be suprised at some of what you'll see (both good and bad) .

Btw random question but what kinda mech is it? Cuz that can make a difference in what you can safely run on it(example hybrid like a 4nine with a Atlantis or subtank on it isn't a good idea )

Some of the smaller ecigs are very cheapy made no doubt in that but the pif starter set that was awarded to my brother is a kangertech evod which is up there in quality for the starter ecigs yes their all cheapy until u get into the vv/vw pens like the lavatube but they are made that way so that we arent spending out the ass to see if vaping is even our cup of tea, and as far as safety and health issues they are actually safer then mechanical mods in the hands of a noob and all mods have health issues u get a dry hit off of any wicking material isnt good for ur lungs the silica wicks are actually safer and healthier then cotton because it takes more to burn them with a dry hit, not looking to be a ass just looking to educate

It's up to the person Pif'ing the items to decide who they are giving their items to. I've asked for Pif'ed items before & the person didn't select me. But I didn't argue with them or complain about someone else being selected. It's their stuff & they can give it to whomever they want. In regards to the rest: When a new member gets on here & asks for Piffed or free stuff, most of us look at what they've asked for before or when they joined. As @RZAwora stated, there are slim balls on here daily trying to take advantage of the good people in this community. Now i'm not saying that's you & tbh no one here did. They simply asked you a few questions that everyone here was thinking. Then you get back to them being rude & even insinuating that they don't know anything about ego's.

I've been using those cheap ego style batteries since I starting vaping 2 years ago & I've had absolutely nothing go wrong with them.

I wish you all the best in quitting your smoking habit and starting vaping. I do need to tell you though, in regards to a post you made in another thread, that silica wick isn't the best, but it's okay to use in vaping. Also, I don't know where you learned that the "wiring in a starter kit is really bad with extra solder that you'll be inhaling..." but that's complete bullshit and whoever wrote that has no idea about vaping. Steer clear of anything they tell you. The wiring part, and the inhaling part are separate. If that came from you MMJ community, they don't know what they're talking about.

The person that you got a little ignorant with was only trying to help you. If you want the community to help you, you need to have some respect in your responses to people. A lot of us are friends and kind of like one big family. Also when someone decides to PIF something, it's completely up to them to decide who to give it to and why. Your little rant trying to make people feel bad for you doesn't speak highly of your character.

Lastly, if you can't come up with the money for a starter kit, why are you in another thread asking for contact info to someone who is selling authentic mods/atty's for $120 and $130?

We get a decent share of new people who come on the forum and see the PIF section and immediately start asking for free stuff. Some people really like to help others, but it's like a job trying to figure out who's stories are legit and who's stories are just bullshit. It just seems strange that you join yesterday, already get shitty with someone who replies to one of your posts, basically complain because you weren't picked for something, then you're off elsewhere asking for contact info for the seller of some really expensive stuff. Then you have a post here asking for some help with some free or cheap stuff.

Look OP, I wish you the best in quitting smoking and taking up vaping if that part of your story was true. I didn't post this to start shit, normally I stay away from things like this. However, I get sick of seeing people take advantage of the nice members we have here who are willing to help people in a time of need. Regarding your original post, my best advice would be to stop trying to save up to get everything at once. Next time you have an extra few $$$ in your pocket, order a battery or two...then the next time get some wick and wire, then the next time get an RBA/RDA...you get the picture. Try getting things little by little since you're not wanting to use a starter kit...it'll be easier then trying to save up and get it all at once.

Click on the person's avatar you want to ignore, it will show a box .... you'll see the ignore button in there, click on ignore, you can also ignore/block pm's of certain members ....when you go to delete the pm it will have boxes to click, one says block member
