I plugged the charge cord into the mod, then plugged it into the wall, and it does.....nothing. No sign that it's charging at all. Seemed like a no-brainer to me, but am I missing something? o_O

Lol! Aw now, give a gal a break! :D ....I've honestly used this thing through one cycle, love the battery life - but I didn't know that one cycle was all I was gonna get....

Hmm, try turning it on and off then plug it in again (without an atty on it). Otherwise sounds like it needs to be warrantied!

It's the charger that came with it, not sure if I have anything else that would be suitable.

Turns out they sent me a crap cord. I did have a 1 amp travel charger I'd forgotten about, but it still didn't work. I plugged it into my phone charger and it fired right up. The phone charger, however, is a .7 amp. Will that hurt anything?

Thank you.....long as it's done by Wednesday when I go back to work. It's a pain in the arse to run to my pocketbook mid shift to put another battery in my KBox, and my Sigelei is a bit big for my pocket. This iStick is perfect for work. ;)

U could always charge it off the computer if all else fails. Sucks they sent u a junk cord. I use my phone charger to charge my 20w istick all the time. Heard of issues with charging ego batteries from computers, but never a mod. If I'm wrong someone please correct me.

I have heard of those same charging off of your PC issues as well.

Myself, I have a protected power strip that powers my 4 bay charger as well as a few wall warts that I charge my USB devices with.

Plugged it in last night and just checked it - it's STILL not charged completely.
May go the computer route to finish it off.

Did the 50 watt come with a wall unit that is separate from the USB cable? If so, just buy a new cable - they're dirt cheap, and that will likely be the most effective (and perhaps safest) way to charge the Istick. Because of some of the accidents that have occured with this Istick when charging, I would be extra careful. I've had no problems at all with mine, but I do charge it in the kitchen.

Yeah, they are separate, and I know I probably have a buttload of them stashed in drawers around the house. It's plugged into the desk top with my Nexus cable right now.

My istick50 cord was DOA to so I think its a common problem. Now as for the charging of the mod, every now and again I'll plug it up (I charge it every night) and it will no completely charge but its still enough to last at work.by not completely I mean one notch below full

That seems to be the stage mine is at, but still shows it's charging. May just have to top it off every night on work days.

I found out through experience if it is dead ,with no power I mean won't fire, locks everything..... It can take a while to charge back to 100%.that last little tick mark can take two hours to fill...or with my it does

I didn't let it die out completely, but it was pretty close! ;)

I don't know if its good for it or not but I conditioned the batterys when I got mine.I charged it completely and then took it to the other extreme.... Completely dead not firing locked out......and now I just plug it up when I lay down at night.don't know it the whole process helps or not but it last forever before the gauge shows any drainage.

I've read that it's good for any rechargeable battery to let it completely drain before recharging the first two or three times. Just not sure if they were talking about mods too.

Slowly but surely, yes. It's very slow to charge on my phone charger, but that's only .7 amps. It's charging on my computer now, with the cord for my Nexus tablet and is almost full.

One other thing to consider is if you have a protective sleeve over the IStick, it can be tricky making sure the charging cable is completely seated in the mod. I find that mine takes an extra little push to seat it. Also, if you vape while charging, it's easy for the connection to become undone and not charge without pushing the cable back in again.

Nope, no sleeve (well, not yet....lol!), and I've been using the Sigelei all day - I'm way too clumsy to vape while charging. :p

Not so much with my phone charger. It's a .7 amp and goes soooo slow on the iStick, but Godspeed on my phone - go figure. I had better luck with the charging cord for my Nexus tablet plugged into my computer. I'm gonna try it plugged into the wall outlet with the tablet cord and see how that goes. I've used it all day at work the past two days and it's still at half charge. Not too shabby....;)

Nice when it does get a good charge it will last what feels like forever. Lol.....I hope it works with the nexus charger...... Funny thing I just looked at my charger and its a 5.0 which explains why it charges so fast.

I've definitely noticed that the charger makes a difference in how fast these things charge, even on my phone. Nice thing with the istick tho if u must vape that sucker while its charging, never had an issue doing that with my 20w, even driving down the road.

To address some of the technical inaccuracies mentioned...

The charger itself is built into the device, in this case the iStick.... the other part that you plug it into is just the USB power supply. Most USB power supplies show over rated amp outputs so if it says 2a, it may be under that amount depending on it's actual build quality. The actual charger will only take as many amps as it's designed for.... so a 1a charger will not charge any faster on a 2a or higher power supply ( as long as it really is a 2a that is ).

The USB 2 standard for power output is only 0.5a max... many USB ports on newer computers can output more than what the standard is set at but not all of them can, the USB ports on my computer as an example can handle up to 3.0a. Plugging in a poorly or cheaply designed device that can pull more amps than the USB port is rated for can ruin the USB port or even possibly the computer. Because of this, I never recommend to use the USB ports ( on computers ) to charge other devices not made to plug into a computer... just because it has a USB port on it, doesn't automatically mean it's safe for the computer.

Xtar makes a good quality USB 2.1a wall adapter... you can get one at Sun-Vapers.com and other places for around $10 USD

The batteries we use today aren't suppose to require conditioning... I still do it since there is no way to be certain because the manufacturers seldom tell us if they recommend it for theirs or not. All conditioning was used for was to neutralize the chemical they ( the manufacturers ) used to stabilize the battery while they were being stored in the warehouse and/or stores shelves so they would live longer... I prefer batteries that require it because of it extending the potential lifespan of the battery but enough other people disliked the need for it because they thought it too inconvenient... another example of peoples ignorance for why something was done a certain way and bitching about it anyway.
