Looking for a realistic orange

The first liquid I bought was a fuzzy navel flavor from a local company (Bellybutton Fuzz from JoCo Juice), and I loved it.

I started DIYing and want to make something similar, so I picked up some juicy peach and orange Mandarin from TFA and made some single flavor bottles to try them out.

The peach was 'meh' and I am going to try FA White Peach instead, but the Orange Mandarin was downright disgusting. Not realistic at all, and more like an overpowering SweeTarts candy flavor (even at only 5%) that sticks in your taste buds for a agonizingly long time.

Any recommendations for a more true orange juice flavor?

Nope. Brand new to all of this. The only thing I know for sure is that I hate TFA Orange Mandarin.

You'll need a combo of FA Orange and FA Mandarin. Those 2 together are the most true orange flavor that I've come across. Stand alone, I think it would be about 3% Orange to 1.5% Mandarin. Maybe check some of HIC's notes. Or maybe he or wllmc will chime in.

I have one orange that is so realistic it's like biting into a full orange without peeling it. I had to make a dilution of 5ml base with ONE drop of flavoring. STRONG to me, still. INW Wera Garden Orange. It's a syringe killer, too. I use FA.

Oh, I forgot this one. Germans Flavors Blood Orange is pretty good, too. Strong flavor, but good.

I have a big bottle of their fudge brownie and of their honeydew, so I'll be using their stuff for awhile, but I'm hesitant to give them any more money at this time. My quandary is that I'm also on the hunt for a ginger flavoring and a pecan flavoring and hopefully I can find someone besides FW to get them from.

hmm... will ponder on it, thanks. I'm wanting to do a ginger lemon cream cookie flavor. I'm addicted to the Carr's Ginger Lemon Cremes - a lemon creme filling surrounded by ginger cookies. Yum!

Any stag leaf tobacco will have a strong ginger flavor or from my experience it does

NF has diacetyl-free, too. But they will not tell me what substitute(s) (if any) are in it, so I will not assume and would never say it's diketone-free. The next best tasting ginger in my opinion is Flavor West, and we already know they can't be trusted to reveal contents honestly/completely.

Thanks for the information. Hopefully an alternative will come along. Vaping is a growing market and the interest in safer ingredients will most certainly grow along with it.

There may be hope for a decent alternative soon ... from what I understand, FA will be introducing a reformulated Ginger in the near future.
