Should I wait before getting the sig 75?

Hi everyone. My local shop is getting the sig75 temp controls in tommorow, and I am not sure weither in 2 weeks to get the sig50, as we know it is safe and well designed, or be a new buyer of the 75W device, hoping there is no niggles with it?

I will get the 75W temp control eventually, I just didn't know if it is a better idea to wait a few months for any issues to be ironed out, or does that not tend to really happy with sigelei?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I'd go with the ipv3 Li it has more power and around the same price. Even if you don't use 100j with titanium or 200w its nice to have it. Plus dual batteries help with run time.

I don't feel too safe with dual batteries, I know with my injury I may accidentally mix up pairs even if I mark them, I like the single battery operation of it, that is actully one of the things that tempt me. I don't really want to step up to dual battery set ups if I am honest, that is why the sig 75 temps me, as it is 75W but single battery. I understand the battery may not last long at higher powers, but I do prefer the single set ups.

Also, can I still use normal Kanthal with it and not use the temp control? Or do I need to buy nichrome or something to use it? I am not bothered about the temp Control at the moment TBH, just know if I can use normal Kanthal and not use the temp control or if you have to use a certain wire and the temp control. If so, I'l just go for the 50.

You can use any wire you want. Nickel and titanium are for temp. Everye else is just vw

In my experience, it might be best to wait(istick 50w, then ipv4:mad:). Sig is a good company but, temp control is still new. Since you say you will get it anyway, let someone else be the guinea pig.

That is what I was actually thinking lol, buy the sig 50 now, and give it a while to see if there are any issues with it. TBH, its not the temp control that drew me in, although I will try it, its just that it is a smallish 75W MOD in my price range. Even if I never used the temp control, I would be happy.

I more thak likely will get the 50 first then the 75 later, but I may well choose the be a guinea pig when I order lol. It will come down to how I feel on the day (Not saturday coming,Saturday after).

Ah, there's the rub. In my case, I didn't even get to use the TC on the ipv4. Even though I didn't use the internal charger, the charge board caused draining issues. I'm still waiting for my replacment, and they've already discontinued that version for that reason. I hope I get the new one, without the charge board.

That's my plan.
I'm gonna let it drop and wait a month or so.
I have faith in sigelei but I've noticed that the majority of TC devices have flaws.
There are a few that seem to have gotten it right like the sx mini but a lot of the moderately priced mods have had atleast one hiccup.

Ok, I think i will do the same as Bondo, I am going to get the 50 as I want it to add to the collection anyway, and after a month or so IF there is no problems, I will order. I will probably be using kanthal most of the time If I am honest, But I will buy a small amount of wire compatible with temp control to see if I like it.

If I think its mehhh I will just use it as a normal device, and count that is can control temp with special wire a bonus.

Lol damn...
atleast they caught it(whatever the problem is) early and recalled them.

@conanthewarrior
try to find the oni edition when you buy your 50w. Soooo much better looking imo.
