The 'best' base ratio

Hey, it's Eli from Make My Vape.

I wanted to ask you all what you think the 'best' base ratio is and why; of course, it's all subjective.

I personally use PG 30 / VG 70 because I like to have a lot of cloud, yet actually be able to taste the ingredients in the liquid, which are all carried in PG in my case. Plus, we stock premade ratio mixes in the lab which are easier for me to use as I just have to add flavour c:

Good ol' Fifty-Fifty for me. I'm not after the clouds, but I am after the throat hit and the slight boost in flavor presence. Even trying 70/30 (favoring VG) for a while, cause it's all anyone ever vapes at and it seems everyone touts it - my regular mixes come out a little less "punchy" than at 50-50. Just not my bag, I'm a middle-of-the-road kinda guy.

I hate throat hit.
I like a nice thick vapor that I can feel going down my throat and filling my lungs on both the inhale and exhale of a full lung hit.

So, the only PG that gets added to my home made liquid is what comes with the flavoring.

High VG makes it hard for me to breathe, so 70%PG/30%VG which after the tiny amounts of flavorings I use may be at most 74%PG/26%VG. ;)

For me is a little difficult because too much PG give me a dry nose and high VG make me cough" crazy ha" so around 60 VG 40 PG is great, when I add the flavors, the final percentage should be 50/50.

Vaping save my live. Vape on, until you die.

How do you even bring the flavor out on such a high VG? When I try to do some diy with that ratio, my flavor is extremely muted. I have tried various method, I couldn't get my flavor to come out great with 90%+ VG ratio.

Maybe you are used to strong flavored fluids. I find the more I diy the more I taste the flavors and don't need as much. I used to 70VG but went to 65VG. I have done 50/50 but do not like how reacts in my RDAs. The only flavor difference I had in those mixes was the taste of the PG.

In relation to the OP question. I guess it depends on what it is going to be used for. If it is for tanks I would 50/50. For my RDAs anything less than 65 is no Bueno, for me.

This right here.
It will come down to what you are used to tasting.

If you eat a lemon, it will taste sour.
Eat them daily and they will stop tasting sour, but if you drink a glass of orange juice it will taste like sugar water.

Same goes for many things. Peppery foods, spicy foods, etc, etc.
The more you eat the more 'used to it' you become and you stop tasting the flavor.
