Is the amp limit doubled when two batteries are run parallel in a dual battery box mod?

I theory yes, in practice, probably not. If they're kicking out exactly the same voltage under load then the amp load will be evenly split across the two batteries. However, no two batteries are exactly the same, so it's hard to say whether or not the current demand would be an even 50/50 split across both batteries.

It's probably closer to 150% of one battery than 200%. Or at least, that's the margin most people tend to leave. Could be much more. Doubt it'd be less. And with two VTC4's, that still gives you 4200mah and 45amps!

My vtc4s discharge evenly on cherrybomber. They dont even get warm at .08-.1 ohm. I could probably push more but why ruin a good thing.

Personally I times the amp limit by 1.5 and run with it. Usual rules apply, keep an eye out for heat from the cells themselves and if they get warm give it a rest.

Saying that I have a 0.15 on dual parallel 25R and the cells stay come tell cold. The mosfet gets bloody hot, but that's about it. Still within its temp specs though.

That's insane. I cant handle more than a .2Ω on my dualie. I do a dual 20g vertical sleeper. Just too much vapor and too hot for me. I cant take more than 2 hits before I'm fogging up the house. lol

22AWG is my limit.. Owt else holds the heat to much after and I get a scorching atty and can take a second pull without pressing the button. It still produces due to the stored heat lol!

Yea, man. The more surface area, the more heat its gonna hold. Have you given yourself the verpee's yet? That's when you forget to put your top cap back on and you go to take a hit and burn your lips on the atty posts. It looks like you got a herpe on your lip. lmao.
