So I just bought some rolls of 26, 28, & 30 gauge kanthal and I've pretty much ran out of coil ideas. I would go and watch some of rip trippers vids, but I'm a little low on data . So does anyone have any cool ideas for some mediocre hard to make coils? Preferably lower ohm, anywhere from .2 - .5, I'm vaping on a sigelei 150w with a mutant x v4. My batteries are the purple 18650 imrens, 3.7v 2500mah, 40amp max. Any ideas would be much obliged

Some ideas to get you goin:

Twisted 28 zippers
Twist two wires clockwise then two more counter-clockwise till they are the same twist spacing. Wrap those two wires in parallel, 6 wrap around 2.5mm in dual coil should put you around 0.2ohm

Could try 26/30 clapton or fused clapton, but I haven't used that fat of a clapton before, so not sure what wraps or ohms would look like.

Also you could braid the 30 gauge. 3 loop vertibraid is a good place to start, there are some good videos on YouTube for instruction. I run these in parallel with 22g or 24g or make stovetops, however I have been using 32gN80 for mine.

I tried making 28 zipper coils last night lol :D but when I was heating them up and squeezing them, one of my wires broke :((( I must have tightened the post too much haha. I think I'll try to braid the 30 gauge next... I totally forgot about that type of coil XD and I've wanted to try my luck at making some claptons for a while now, but I wanna make sure I'm good enough at coil building before I try, I'm not too fond of wasting wire haha

I looked up the KISS method and I think I have an idea of what it is but its strange to me. The post that I read about the KISS method made it sound like they wrapped their coil around their wick, instead of a screwdriver or drill bit. Soo can someone help me understand lol

The KISS method as I know it stands for keep it simple stupid..

They're just saying that wrapping a simple micro coil will yield the results your looking for in an easier fasion.
Fancy coils aren't needed to get a great vape, but they can be fun to biuld. I dabble in building some of the less complex coils from time to time.

I see. I don't mind wrapping a simple coil every now and then when I get sick of spending a lot of time building coils.
