what is a good rda to get to start building on

I have never done a build ive always had some one do mine and I was wondering is there a recommended rda to use for starter builds and ill start building when I get a ipv4 for no dry hits and its ohm reading

Any 2 post deck is a great way to start. I use the Velocity and Stro Mini for easy builds.

i'll agree with velocity RDA. i've got the clone, but the post/deck design is very easy to build on. 4post decks are also very easy to build on as well and easy to center coils. my Haze mini with the 4 post design is an easy build. 3posts can be a little trickier because the center hole is sharing with 2 wires

4 post decks are easy to build on but most limit your workspace. I found it tougher at first, but once you get used to it it was nice and easy. Two post decks give a lot of room and are a little more forgiving when it comes to placement of the coils. Either way you should be fine.

If you can manage to deal with a three post design, I found that the little boy rda (i have a clone) is easy to work with. I struggled with my mad hatter to build on its small deck, but instantly upon switching to the little boy, I've found that I'm able to make way more consistent builds.

It's all kinda a matter of personal preference I mainly use 4 post rda's like the samurai banzai or clt v2 but some of my favorites tripost's are the tugboat, igo-w , zenith v2(for both dripping and bottom feeder)

I would go with a Mutation X 26650. Looks like a soccer field with the goal posts in the middle.

Same as William Hucke, Mutation x V4. 4 post build deck, fairly easy to navigate and figure out. However, I do have an RTA that has a 4 post build deck, so a 4 post RDA made sense to me. Also, I like dual coil builds =)

Ive had a mutation xL v3 for a while now and it is perfect for crazy builds. Currently running twisted 24 ga single coil 10 wraps 3mm @ .59ohm
Had a .72ohm fused clapton in her with like 7 wraps 2.4mm. still had room in the deck and post holes like runnin 7 wrap 24 ga in a troll.

You could also try the Troll RDA. That has a 4 post deck with no bottom airholes. I was originally going to get the Troll, but the guy at the store talked me into the Mutation X V4 when I started talking flavor. I do get some minor leakage out of the Mutation if I overdrip and some gets into those bottom airholes. Its nothing huge and the leaking isn't a game breaker. I just re-wick if that happens and clean out the airholes.

Just went out and bought a mutation V4. First ever rda I have bought. First time building and I must say I love it. very easy to use and connect my coils. I also love the air vents in it.

It's a great starter rda lol. I've built on rta's for the past 6 months so moving to an rda was easy as pie with the significantly bigger build deck. Mutation is great, but just make sure you don't over drip with it or it will leak out the bottom airholes.

The El Cabron or Twisted Messes are both great RDAs to start with. They're made for crazy builds so the work space is ample. The post holes are large. They also use grub screws so they don't clip your leads if you tighten them a little too much. They also won't back out at all.

This is exactly what I was going to say only that I would like to add the 13 Heavens 9 Hells RDA to the list. Its essentially the same as the Twisted Messes only with different colors and engraved designs. All three of these RDAs are made by the same company and lend themselves to beginners while still providing enough of a platform that you can improve upon for years to come.

Its essentially the same as the Twisted Messes only with different colors and engraved designs. All three of these RDAs are made by the same company and lend themselves to beginners while still providing enough of a platform that you can improve upon for years to come.

Oh, they're perfect for seasoned builders as well. The decks are roomy enough to accommodate massive clapton coils or anything else you want to shove in there. Also, I'll mention that the RDAs are also around the $30 range so they're also very accessible.

Yeah thats one thing I hate about the Mutation is the screws piss me off sometimes. I've learned how to get everything torqued down so it doesn't cut the wire but when it happens..... man, its frustrating.

How is the 13 Heavens 9 Hells in terms of flavor? Currently have a Mutation X V4 which is my first RDA (have had it for about 2 weeks now), but as I stated above the screws piss me off. Just looked at the 13 Heavens 9 Hells and the thing looks great! Just curious how it is when it comes to flavor. The vape shop that sold me the Mutation had tons of RDA's but the guy there swore that the flavor from the Mutation is 2nd to none. I have nothing to compare it to except for RTA's which don't really compare imo. He stated that the bottom air flow on the Mutation is what makes its flavor production superior. Any opinions on that statement?

Well, the thing is is that all of Comp Vapes RDAs are basically a Comp Vape RDA with a different design and center post. The El Cabron is fucking tasty so it stands to reason that the other two are as well. I have a Mutation V4 and the El Cabron is much better tasting to me.

Cool. Sounds like the 13 hells should be a nice purchase then. I really like the options it comes with... especially the mouthpieces and the option to have a black or copper body...

Also I would be thrilled if the screws don't cut my wire lol.

I've used flat heads, philips heads, and grub screws. Grubs are the only ones that don't clip leads IMO.

This is true in my experience as well. The only problem that I've ever had with the grubs is that the cheap little wrench that comes with the RDA will occasionally get stuck in the head of the screw and takes a little work to get out... buying a better tool solved the problem for me though.
