Refugee from ecf Joined Dec 22, 2012 over there... so a minute. Looking to learn what I've missed...

I have been vaping a long time on and off, completely quit everything a few years ago... and quit drinking hard alcohol (beer is ok) completely with the help of vaping...

Dang... times have changed.... no more wizardlabs... no more of that one tech company that sold bunches of stuff...

Rebuildable was just starting to be a thing when I last stopped.... and now in 2025... hard AF to find much in local shops.... all disposable stuff...

I tried disposable for the last 7 months and finally got tired of the lack of good flavors and High cost.


I have a smok gpriv 3, finally found a geekvape zeus x II RTA mesh (would love to find the dual coil deck for it).

And have a mike vapes blaze max 30mm rta dual coil in purple coming, and like 4 spare bubble glass for it.

Figured I would try out mesh coil and dual coil tanks and see how the flavors are....

I have 5 m pro tank (gen 1) and would LOVE to find the RBA coils for it.... no luck so far.... seems freemax is either going out of buisness or is just not manufacturing or shipping or something...


Looking to build up a collection of mods, rebuildable tank atomizer and spare parts if I find something I like...

Welcome to VU, wish I had better news for you but it's real tough to find Good Clean Nicotine, Flavors you still get pretty easy, try Bull City.
PG and VG are pretty easy to access, even Bull City there too.

it's only a 100ml bottle but it's 200mg/ml nic (20%) so a 100ml's of this is equivalent to 200ml of the nic at 100mg/ml (10%) that most people are used to.

I agree the disposable market is insane. I still frequent a few shops as they still ask for my incite/knowledge & opinions!

Juice prices are insane. 90% of the time I DIY but atm I'm out of nic n since I'm making juice for 3ppl, myself included... I'm saving for a gal of 100mg @ $200
But atm I'm just vaping Budget Vapors juices @ $11-$12/120ml n it's purdy darn good!!

It's getting harder to find stuff and there are issues with shipping (here in the US) Vendors are having to use other shipping methods so it costs more... and add to that the "adult signature" thing (extra fee for that and you have to be home to sign... although they don't seem to enforce that) Here in CA, no more flavored e-liquids (thank god I do DIY mixing) I mostly order hardware from China (sourcemore... fasttech is gone) No adult sig so no extra fee. Shipping takes longer but even stuff ordered from the US takes longer now. I wish I had some good news

I have 2 mods BTW both smok a gpriv3 230w and morph 219 219~w both dual 18650

All my local stores are pretty much nothing but new replacable coil tanks and limited mods, and pod system.

I would like to find a single 18650 pod mod with an rba.

I will check out that nic supplier and check pricing.

11-12$ for 120ml is Much better than the $28usd for 120ml local after tax prices.

If anyone has any used freemax m pro RBA's I'm buying so I can keep my 4 tanks going... the coils are just way too expensive.


Next month I'm buying a a ton of supplies to build my coils... I don't see it getting any cheaper or easier to procure, so might as well stock up while I can.

Back in the day Kidney Puncher wire was the gold standard. They now sell wire at KPwire.com. Their site appears to be active, but I cannot vouch that as I haven't ordered from them.

I've been happy with wireoptim.com and have ordered from them within the past year.

While the VU DIY forum isn't super active, I and others will pop in to help if you have questions so ask away in there.

E-Liquid-Recipes is very active and there are thousands of recipes plus a forum. https://e-liquid-recipes.com/ They have a great mixing calculator

Wireoptim has spools of tri and quad core Clapton wire in N80 and SS. They are based in Florida so no international shipping.

My blaze max 30mm rta came in today... got it at 65w and it's chucking rain clouds

Found that rpm 2s external 18650 kit I had tucked away... and also found some rpm2 rba coils for it... so atleast I can try to prolong the usable life of that unit

I need better batteries...

I just went with one 250ml B salts, as that's a year supply for me - I'll get more next year, if I like it...
Had a nice BF sale but shipping was $28 and now DHL is messaging me saying I need to pay another $25 to have it released... Does this sound right?

I've been ordering stuff from China for years - NEVER had a carrier tell me I had to pay import duties, but nothing has ever come through DHL either - always been UPS, FedEx, or USPS. Maybe it's a DHL thing?

Wasn't real happy that they forced me to use DHL express - I'd gladly have waited a month for cheaper shipping, like I do for everything else from China, but didn't have a choice. Maybe I missed it but do not recall seeing where I'd have to pay more to get the shipment once it lands in my hometown
